A first-class school. The staff are so caring and nurturing and the children just love their teachers. The teachers know all the children's names and I know that my daughter is being well looked after when I drop her off each morning. The teaching is spot-on. Learning is made fun and interesting - I can't quite believe how well my daughter's reading is coming on after just a few months at school and she's absolutely loving learning. I can't recommend St. Oswald's highly enough!

With regards to the below negative comment about the school being a rip off and out to make money - this is absolutely not the case. The teachers do an amazing job with the resources they have. Sometimes there are requests for money to fund trips or special events such as pantomimes and discos. It would be no different elsewhere and I totally value the range of opportunities the school offers my child.

A fantastic school with a warm, happy and stimulating atmosphere. My son transferred to St Oswalds from another primary school and instantly felt at home. You really get the feeling that the children are individually valued and nurtured. The schoolwork is interesting and creative. There are many after school activities for the children, which my son really enjoys. There are educational day trips and theatre trips, plus residential trips. My son throws his duvet off in the morning and can't wait to get to school. A first class school with brilliant staff.

My daughter has been attending St. Oswalds for a couple of years now. She started in nursery and we could’t have asked for a better start for her - she loved every day with the wonderful nursery team and has moved into Reception with ease. The staff are very caring and it’s the children who come 1st.
The school - through its fantastic head Alex Goodwin, brilliant staff and PTA - are constantly looking for ways to improve. Any school with that attitude will flourish. We’re very happy to be part of this school.

What a wonderful school, that my children are fortunate to attend.

St Oswald's is outstanding in every aspect, and upon joining, you become part of a big family, who support and encourage each other.

The teachers and teaching assistants are wonderful, and go above and beyond to provide a fantastic level of education and support to the children.

I would recommend any parents to send their child here, safe in the knowledge that they will be educated and cared for to the highest level.

St Oswalds is a lovely village school. The teachers are, not only fantastic but also extremely caring. Nothing is too much trouble for them.

I find that for a small school they always make sure the children have great opportunities, with extra science, football, performing arts, and crafts, ensuring children of different abilities are able to experience new activities.

The teachers and TA’s will always find time out of their busy working day to discuss any concerns you may have. Every member of staff is friendly, approachable and extremely kind and caring. Can’t think of a better place for children to learn and grow.

This is a small school with a caring family feel.

We feel fortunate that all the staff are so enthusiastic and very helpful. Right from educational staff, administrative ,maintenance through to the ‘dinner ladies’.

The catering staff go the extra mile to provide a variety of balanced meals, and help deal with the safeguarding aspect at the same time! I am very grateful for all the hard work they do!

I would also like to thank the PTA who are volunteers trying to help improve opportunities for the children. They all do a lot of work behind the scenes to make the fundraising events a success.

Everyone is welcome to attend the PTA. In fact it is positively encouraged , as is sharing and discussing ideas.

It cannot be said too often but i think that the children and the school have an outstanding headteacher , principal and staff.

I truly believe this is a 5 star school which strives constantly to get involved with the children and families.

They all really go the extra mile and for one would like to thank them for all that they do.

Our interaction with this school has been excellent. The teachers and support staff sincerely care about the development of each child, and the school look for ways to enhance the curriculum through providing creative opportunities for the children to learn and engage in new activities outside of school hours.

Such a lovely rural school with caring staff. They nurture the kids to thrive with their education and excel. All aspects of education is covered extremely well and a high standard of work is produced, because the kids are nurtured so well. The PTA are fantastic too and work so hard to help the school to flourish and help to raise money for their new outdoor equipment to help the kids with a positive attitude and fun with outdoor play. They are always open to new ideas and always welcome extra support. They make you feel so welcome.
