The most pleasant hospital I have ever experienced. The facilities, cleanliness and catering were fantastic. All the staff, irrespective of role , seniority or experience were marvelous. I have nothing but respect and gratitude for the professionalism, dedication, support and care. Simply the best, I was made to feel so safe and secure. Surely the Gold Standard in mental health care. Too many lovely staff to mention but they know who they are. Gratitude and respect.

This Hospital is a complete waste of time. Some of the staff listen to your mental health problems. The majority of the staff stay in there offices on the ward e.g Keats,Orwell Ward just talking not doing their job in my eyes. The best staff on keats are anna and Francesca,Ronald,Ariel.David all of them support workers. The Best consulatant is Dr Aung Tint by far. Listens to you not like others. Some of the matrons take the micky when you are trying to get your points over to them they do not listen.Kenneth Brown best nurse i have ever worked with could not fault him at all. Provisions for learning disablitys is very low in this hospital. I would highly not reccomend to come to this hospital at all costs. Food awfull not care is being taken whatsoever just microwaveable food that come in black trays. The hospital costs £64Million Pounds which has been bulit using loans so this is working out at 33 thousand pounds per calender year. Supposed to be state of the art not in alot of peoples eyes. The buildings crumbling every miniute. In room facilities not very good the shower is either warm or cold. The room at times is cold No cash machine avaliable at this hospital when there is clearly othher mental health hospitals who have them.
People with learning disablitys at this hospital are in my own words NEGLECTED.
I have also have a medical problem and they wont even give me the right hygeine products which i clearly need. Not good at all. The Trust (Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust) Currently has a bad CQC Report Too many agency staff comming on to the wards which patitents dont this clearly states to me that they are having staffing issues which i can can confirm and seen. Also the trust is having problems retaining staff. 1 Doctor for the whole hospital is unacceptable needs at least 4 to cover the whole hospital.
All In all a waste of taxpayers money

Yours Sincerley

WORDSWORTH WARD
I have a family member currently receiving treatment and I can honestly say I have never met such a dedicated team of professionals who are so involved and committed to improve the mental health and well being of my relative. From the first visit I felt a sense of relief and could see from my own assessment that all the staff on wordsworth ward have made my relative feel valued and took time to get to know everything about them. I dont think there is another place that could achieve so much in such a short space of time. They are all focused on a positive outcome for each individual and person centred care and support with continued assessment. I can leave knowing and feeling they are in the best hands and I see it in the positive changes and behaviour. To all on wordsworth I thank you for your continued support and care you show not only my relative but our family.

Hello I just wanted to say thank you so much to the lovely staff who helped me to get better, when I was admitted to the Harbour in October 2022. I was really struggling and going through, such a tough time. The staff at the Harbour were so lovely, kind and patient.
I started to eat and sleep again during my weeks stay at the Harbour. The stay really helped me on the road to becoming fully better. Thank you so much to everyone x

Just watched an absolutely shocking video of a staff member admitting they would love to “punch a patient in the face” seems like some staff need sacking, disgusting place.

My relative is currently staying on the byron ward at the harbour, after two weeks he is coming home to us and I can honestly say how much of a difference I can see in him, the whole time my relative has been here i have spoken to him everyday on the phone and he has told me how dedicated the nurses are on this ward in helping the patients get better, these nurses are heroes they have dedicated there time and put all their effort into my relatives recovery and for that I cant thank them enough although their job is very hard at times they remain to have a positive attitude and smile for every patient THANK YOU SO MUCH TO ALL THE STAFF ON BYRON WARD
