Merton Local Authority are to be commended on the opening of this new purpose built community resource. It's an amazing addition to the community at a time when so many are closing. Search #ColliersWoodLibrary on twitter.

Very good place to have a relaxed time reading and to have a coffee. A bit small but very modern and friendly staff. Computers work well and have fast internet connection. Good section for children too.

It's not a library, it's a place people go to socialise. Very noisy, people on their phones. Staff do nothing about it, dont seem to be bothered. It's around the corner from my house but I go to Wallington library instead because it's still a library. 1 star is too much

I politely walked in to the library during lunch hours and politely asked at the desk on the left hand side if I need to register to use the library. There were 2 people at the desk, a worker on the left who kindly said yes I need to register, and I can do this online or use the guest computer in the library to do this. The second person at the desk was a security worker, who replied with “don’t you have anywhere else to go?”. I was a bit taken aback and politely responded that I am placed at a GP surgery a few minutes away and have a long break in between morning and afternoon patients so I was wondering if I could study at this library. In hindsight I wish I politely reprimanded that security worker who should not speak to an enquiring library member like this when I was completely polite and asking a normal question. This completely put me off even joining such a library - employees with no basic manners to potential public members. I obviously did not have anywhere else to go or I would not have been enquiring studying at the library. Now I’d rather stay at the GP practice and study, which is inconvenient but better than being at that library. Please train security staff in communicating cordially with the public.

Modern but a bit small. I would say it's fit for purpose but it is not. There are no toilet facilities which I think is poor since libraries are used to study in for hours at a time. We are told to use the toilets from the cafe next door but they're closed by half 3! Not user friendly in that sense at all
