Bridgwater Library

I was told by a very unfriendly librarian that I wasn't allowed to use the plugs provided in the study area to charge my phone. There was no signs stating " NO mobile Charging". My phone was low on battery from listening to music whilst doing work on the laptop. Lack of freedom to use public facilities. There are 2 plug sockets for each study desk so I didn't see a problem.

She said "only laptops are allowed to be charged" so what if I charged my phone via laptop ??
Ridiculous and treated in a unfriendly way. Please at least train your staff to be nicer to the library users.

Lovely Fun Palace event on 7 October. Lots of kids running round doing exciting things like light sabre training and cool science. The staff are always helpful. The library is one of the best things in Bridgwater.

Great atmosphere, but the toilet facility is a big 'put-offer'. Very unpleasant to have to go outside and around the building, to use the bathrooms. They also don't feel very hygienic or welcoming and are sometimes unexpectedly locked!! Awful surprise after studying there for many hours..

A small but nice library with a cozy atmosphere. Lovely to have a place to do some work in peace and quiet. Only lament is the lack of toilets

Wonderful local community based resource, yes but a certain permanent member staff has the most unfortunate demeanour for me to not use my local library anymore, enough said there.

This is a perfect oasis of peace and calm with friendly, helpful staff, in an interesting older building. Definitely one of my favourite places in Bridgwater.

A nice little library that has been brought up to date, however it's choice of books is now very limited but it now doubles up as a register office for marriage, birth and deaths.
