We went with my 76 year old mother who has mobility issues, and we had no problems as the staff were more than helpful. I also had our dog, and we thoroughly enjoyed our day, as did our dog. The travel guide is worth purchasing, as it provides a great memory keepsake.

Beautiful trip up 4,000 feet to hotel. Multiple waterfalls. Multiple spectacular mountain cliff, and valley views. Lot of snow still at elevation. Highly recommended!

Booked on the day in the morning for the Ffestiniog. Overall a great experience. Staff were friendly and extremely passionate telling us about local history and how the signalling system works along the line. Wasn’t a school holiday when I went but was still busy with tourist coaches etc. Highly advise booking in advance as it can, and does, get very busy, especially on a reduced schedule when schools are off.

Went on both the Ffestiniog Railway and the Welsh Highland Railway. The experience was amazing. The staff both off the train in the booking hall and in Spooners and on the train were so attentive and really gave excellent customer service. We loved every minute of it and would say to anyone who is in the Porthmadog area to get yourself along and experience the best Little Trains in Wales. The scenery is amazing and must be the best in the UK if mot the world - Wales has it all!!

WOW! What a trip, we travelled in the front carriage and it was a no brainer for the small amount extra that was paid. The sites are truly spectacular and breathtaking. The locomotive is so well maintained for a brilliant piece of machinery thats 160 years old! Do make sure you experience this at least once! Remarkably, the carriages were made just a mile or two up the track.

Wonderful trip on the old slate mine railway from Porthmadog. They helpfully accommodated our large group, dog and double pram too. Enthusiastic volunteers and nice cafe and information at the stop. Unfortunately it was pouring with rain so we didn’t do the walk!

Booked a last minute trip on the woodland wanderer and thoroughly enjoyed it. The kids loved riding in the carriage and playing in the park at the cafe when we stopped. Expect a que in the cafe if you want food and drink or take a little picnic with you. Either way we'll worth the trip with the kids.

Various differing length trips available, we did the full length Harbour master trip. Endless stunning dramatic rolling scenery, wonderful Garret engines from New Zealand. Cartridges quite roomy for a narrow guage. Great staff. Recommended.
