Ferrers Green - Bloor Homes

Absolutely terrible communication from start to finish with Bloor Homes (specifically Ferrers Green in Leicestershire)

Started the process for buying a house in January, got told we have to wait until they are released to buy, and can’t leave a deposit or anything to secure a plot. Was also told I must have sold my existing house to be able to secure a plot, so I sold my house within a day of it being listed in order to be in prime position for new house with Bloor once it was made available.

We regularly made contact for updates - of which there were none of. In fact, the communication almost felt like for some reason, they didn’t even want us to buy with them - really odd sales behaviour.

When the first plot was released, we rang for it as soon as it was made available on the website only to be told it had already gone - even after being assured by the sales team that there would be a blanket email sent out to all people interested before it was released. We received nothing.

We were told the plot next door wouldn’t be available for a few more weeks at least, and again was assured a blanket email would be sent to ensure it was sold ‘fairly’.

Less than 24hrs after being told it’d be weeks until it was added it was listed on their website. And surprise surprise, no email was sent. We rang straight away to secure the plot - and we were once again told it had been sold to someone else, who to quote - ‘just walked in off the street the day before’.

So despite being in an ideal situation for both plots, they were both sold to other people despite multiple phone calls between Jan to April about the houses, our position and the plots/house type (Wyatt) we wanted to buy.

Awfully disappointing service and not even a phone call after to apologise for the situation (again, which we were promised from another sales advisor).

Do yourself a favour and buy elsewhere.
