Thank you once again.
The sale took a very long time to go through but that was due to the solicitors acting for the buyer who were quite useless. Apparently they get their recommendations from the mortgage brokers but beware of Beaumont Legal in Wakefield! They have hundreds of bad reviews on Google and I didn't see any point in leaving more. They bring their own profession into disrepute.
Myself and my partner signed up to a few letting agents and i can clearly say hands down brian cox has been the most helpful out of five in the Harrow Borough.
Anil and sam delivered the most professional and attentive service for my family.
Very happy with the service we received.
Highly recommend.
To Mr. Mark Howell, thank you for assisting us towards the end of the process. I highly recommend getting in touch with Mr. George Gorry at Brian Cox Central Harrow when buying property. Thank you again!
As part of our condition to move in was that a Washing Machine be provided and for the flat to be deep cleaned. Following a last minute dash to sign contracts on the day we were due to move in, we were shocked to find that a Washing Machine had not been provided and it was clear the flat had not been deep cleaned and looked even more dirty from the day we had our viewing.
We contacted the landlord in regards to the Washing Machine and was told that it would get ordered and when was best for us to receive the delivery. This was a huge inconvenience to us having to take time off work to have a standard necessity delivered that was part of our offer and should have been provided from day one. It was also disappointing to see the flat had not been deep cleaned and again required us hours of cleaning. When we messaged the agent with our issues, we were told that they were advised by the landlord a deep clean was had when they left the premises (January and this was April) and since then had taken many viewings and had not been cleaned for months, which is more so concerning considering we are in the middle of a pandemic and was clear the agency did not check the standard of the flat before giving us the keys.
We were told by the landlord that we would have 3 sets of keys and a permit for the car park. Upon arrival 2 sets of keys and the permit were provided. Nothing major, but still and inconvenience to us and should have been sorted out for day one. After a couple of days utilising the car park, we were shocked to find the gate closed and we had no way to enter. After a text to the landlord, it appears this was totally forgotten about and were promised it would be dropped to us as soon as possible. Over 2 weeks and still no way of getting back into the car park.
On our third day we decided to start cooking with the new place and having the oven on for 3 minutes, followed by the electric circuit cutting out and causing power loss to our whole kitchen and front room, so this can not be used. After we reported this, we are now on our third week with Brian Cox and no update and no resolutions to all of our issues. This is not the standard of living you expect or need when you rent. I wonder who will pay for all of our takeaways and inconvenience caused to our lives. If we, as tenants, did not comply with the requirements/agreement there would be consequences.
A couple of days after highlighting this to Brian Cox, we received an email to state that they will be responsible for any maintenance of the flat from now on and to contact the maintenance team. One of the options was to leave a review and so that is what i am doing, three weeks in, nothing resolved and no updates….
