I have worked with rise estate agents for around 5 years, I’ve always found them to be thoroughly professional in all aspects of letting and maintenance
Paddy is probably there greatest asset, I’ve never met a more professional and conscientious person within the property community

Both myself and my partner used Rise to sell our properties and both had very positive experiences. Paul handled things for me in the first instance and was very knowledgeable. Rise were good value in comparison to other agents and as a matter of course pay for featured adverts on Rightmove so the properties were often at the top of the search page resulting in multiple viewings and offers in the first few days. When my first sale fell through (no fault of Rise) Paul did all he could to keep things moving and within a day of him putting the property back on Rightmove it had sold again. He has answered all my calls and was very patient and reassuring when I was being a stresshhead! Kat later helped with the successful sale and kept me informed and got back to emails quickly. I wouldn't hesitate to use Rise again.

I have used Rise to let my student houses for almost eight years. They have always impressed me with their friendly, honest and professional service, and in particular with the fairness with which they deal with any disputes between landlords and tenants. You would think that if a deposit is disputed that they would always side with the landlord, but not a bit of it. They are scrupulously fair and that's great for the tenants and I think that's one reason why they keep coming back and renting through Rise. That's great for my business too!

Completion of my house sale was yesterday and I must commend Rise for the very professional way in which they have handled the sale. Paul has to be one of the best negotiators in the property business and a genuinely nice guy who makes the job look easy, when I am sure it is anything but. Thank you also to the lovely ladies in the office who are a credit to the company, especially Kelsey.

Fantastic friendly team, that acted incredibly quickly to find a new tenant for my rental property.
Paul and Kelsey are always on hand to answer questions, provide advice and get the job across the line quickly.
In a market where the rules and regulations change regularly; they provide the peace of mind that, as a landlord I meet the legal requirements.
Thank you for your support.

Couldn’t have asked for a better estate agents. From start to finish of buying our house the service was great. We had Paul looking after us and he was brilliant. He was so helpful and attentive throughout the process and always kept checking in on us even when the solicitors were a nightmare and we kept running into delays.

As a landlord with 15 years experience of letting, I consider myself well versed in the world of renting houses to tenants. When we decided to expand our portfolio into the Durham area, I conducted indepth research in order to find the best letting agency. My main considerations when choosing an agent were value for money, professionalism and personable manner. Rise Estate Agents and Lettings have delivered, and more. We could not be happier with our choice. After 6 months of representation we are putting our latest property into their expert hands to fully manage. They even viewed properties for us, as we live out of area, and helped advise on our negotiations which resulted in an offer acceptance in a highly competitive market. I cannot recommend Kelsey, Paddy and the team at Rise highly enough.

Probably the worst company I have ever had the misfortune of encountering. From cancelling a viewing due to the weather and not informing us (leaving us waiting in the snow), to making false promises and accusations against us as tenants, my experience of Rise over the year I was a tenant was nothing but terrible. They were wholly unprofessional, forcing us to sign an inventory before having moved into the property, only for us to find that the inventory was for an entirely different property or perhaps made up (it covered 3 bedrooms and the property was a 7 bedroom student house and the furniture described as being present was not there at all!). They weren't able to provide a key to one tenant for a week after we had moved in. They took over 8 months to fix a dangerously loose plug socket with half a broken plug wedged in it that I notified them of on the day we moved into the house. They had no shame in making deposit deductions for damages that were already present in the property when we moved in, and for a lack of cleaning, despite us leaving the house in an infinitely cleaner condition than when we moved in (there was a rotting large piece of unknown fruit, perhaps a watermelon, on top of one of the kitchen cupboards when we first moved in which had caused a fruit fly infestation). And also I am still waiting for a refund of £3.49 for a repair I had to carry out myself - I was promised by Kelsey I would be reimbursed but my hopes are low given that this was about 20 months ago now. If problems like this appeal to you, then I wholeheartedly recommend Rise, they can probably help reduce your life expectancy by a good decade just from stress. Otherwise, I would recommend avoiding the company at all costs.
