One Rent took almost £1000 of our deposit which was well over 1/2 of it! First of all, we rented from them for 3 1/2 years, and shortly after we sent in paperwork saying we were going to stay another 6 months, we got a phone call saying we had less than 30 days to get out because they were doing a COMPLETE remodel, and we didn't raise a fuss over that. We were told we were model tenants, and we did take very good care of the place. We left the place SPOTLESS except the carpets. We were going to clean them, but we were told not to because they were ripping them up and throwing them out. We were asked to ONLY defrost the freezer, but we scrubbed that place from the ceilings to the floors! They also said in the report that there were stains on all the curtains that had to be dry cleaned (which were barely touched in 3 1/2 years), stains on the cushions of the chairs that were already there (we put our own cushions on to protect them from further stains), stains on the mattress that they said had to be replaced (we didn't use their mattress. We piled it on top of the other mattress and used our own! We also requested that the mattresses be replaced during our tenancy, but they said that there wasn't enough wear and tear!), stains on the boxes behind each toilet which is being ripped out in the remodel, and stains on the carpets which are being ripped out in the remodel as well!!! We were told NOT to clean the carpets because they were ripping them up!! Again, they are ripping up the bathrooms too during the remodel and throwing out the curtains we were told!!! Find someone else to rent through unless you have a company paying your deposits and rent! If you MUST rent through them, keep documents of the condition of EVERYTHING!!!

Made an enquiry about a 2 bedroom new built flat we saw on right move. They said this was no longer available as the tenants decided to stay longer. They offered to show us round a similar property but said there was no advert available. We turned up and the place was horrible. The agent himself told us it was their last property that they are trying to get rid of.

Easy to use, appears to be good value for money, only marked down as used their service to arrange for a gas certificate but were not advised that our original appointment had been cancled which caused some confusion when we were informed that another person had picked up our job. We ended up having to re-arrange for another day and the new person was unable to make a same day appointment. Had no trouble with the rent now process and or the referencing though which I feel is their core business.

Stay away from them. Like others stated you don't get your deposit back. Out of £1300 I only got back £570. They send you a list of what they found as a reason for them to take your money which where all lies. I lived by myself for the whole 3yrs never messed the flat up and always took care of it. The boiler never worked properly, and when I asked to get it fixed it never got fixed. The engineer comes and asks me some silly questions like when the boiler does cut off (as that is what the problem was, kept cutting off randomly) as he wanted to know a specific time. The boiler cuts off randomly and I lived by myself so most of the time I was at work or out and could not give a specific time, so because I could not give him a time when it cut off he said then he could not do anything which was BS. Like others stated most of their properties on rightmove are fake. If I could I don't even give them 1star. Stay away.

We were worried when we read the bad reviews, but One Rent have been amazing. We moved in a couple of weeks ago, and we've needed a few things sorted out and they've been extremely professional and helped us with everything. Our microwave was broken and when we messaged them, they immediately brought us a new one. Excellent service and very friendly.

Really confusing contracts, price is dependent on legnth of contract and hidden bills need to be paid for on the property I viewed. Agents sound really direct when you call, the agent that showed us around brought a contract with all the details on and very pushy to send the deposit and defensive about the property having mould.

I won't be using them again as I didn't find them friendly or transparent with their pricing.

Unprofessional agency. They put the phone down on you or they’ll make you wait on hold and then cut you off. They do not respond to any enquiries on right move either.

ONE RENT IS NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL!

You'll lose your entire deposit and they ask you to pay on top of the deposit. Finally I needed to pay half of my deposit though I handed over the property in a good and well cleaned condition. We've been with 6 letting agents earlier, we've not seen this huge deduction. Only One Rent will hold your entire deposit as they are very greedy in owning the tenant's entire deposit. There are so many agents around for you to get a house rented, but not from One Rent!
