STUDENT ALERT !!! Don't be fooled by this letting agency just because they are inside the Student Union . I am having a terrible experience with them . Not professional and do it keep words . Run as fast as you can from this letting agency otherwise you might have a headache for life like I am having now . They don't deserve a single glimpse of trust . Poor managed and no doubt a CON AGENCY with disrespectful land lord , do not rent any houses from them specially the one at 17 wood road !!

I have been with Glamorgan Student Letting for both my second and third year at University. If there is one thing that any university student should know it is that you should go with a letting company which has your best interests in mind. I have spoken to all members of staff at this letting company and I have spoken to some of their competitors and the service you get with Glamorgan Student Letting in comparison is leaps and bounds ahead. If I go in there with a complaint and they will make me feel heard even though i know for a fact they have a huge client base who all need to be heard as well. Even when I have came to them upset and distressed they have gave me all the advice AND MORE in order to make me feel calm, where as some of my friends with other companies and properties are just reminded that as far as the law is involved they have no rights. Glamorgan Student Letting should be your only choice if you actually want to feel like a tenant whilst being a student, opposed to just being a student the landlord can strain for as much money as they can.

The most unprofessional agency I worked with over my years in uni. My flat mate was welcomed to a dirty flat when she moved in, only to be told that's not on them so she had to clean it herself. When we finally moved out they decide that they will charge us for the apartment deep cleaning. By the way we cleaned the apartment the day we moved out. On the same day we moved out a new lady moved into the flat opposite ours and she found it in a disgusting mess and again they refused to help her clean it. We were further charged to repair for mattresses that weren't close to being new when we moved in and we left Mark's on either. By the way we moved out about 2+ months ago and yet they didn't refund our deposit.
I honestly will not recommend them at all.

Have to say that the admin team have been excellent supporting my son after the tragic death of his housemate last year. They went out of their way to find him emergency accommodation and for a more permanent solution for the rest of the academic year. Can't thank them enough.

Brilliant company that go over and above to ensure that they find tenants for your rental property. The staff are very helpful, especially Richard who has been absolutely fantastic. Highly recommended!!

After a few disappointing run-ins with other agencies, Liam at the Trefforest branch has been absolutely amazing! Helped us to secure a better-than-expected property by going above and beyond. Thank you so much! Great first experience with James Douglas :)

Just going to leave a note here to say if you use James Douglas you should check that your deposit was protected within the 30 day time limit. If it wasn’t, a court must order for the deposit to be protected or returned to you and for your landlord to pay you between 1 and 3x the amount of your deposit.
You also can not be given a section 21 until your deposit has been returned. This is in line with the initial requirements of TDS.

Check the TDS custodial website with the account you will have made when you signed your agreement and cross reference it with the date in your bank statements. They lied about the date they received the deposit for us.

Good luck, and word to the wise, these letting agents have straight up lied about the legislation so take anything they say with a grain of salt and do your own research.

If James Douglas and seraph had not caused issues and left a negative mark I’d have nothing to write. This review is to hopefully prevent other tenants from being done dirty as we have.
To clarify, we were kept waiting for over 2 weeks for this one bit of correspondence, which we received this morning, I can assure you we will respond in a timely manner.
