1 Stop Lettings (Aber) Limited

Unfortunately our experience of 1 Stop Lettings has been awful, I might add I'm a tenant not a landlord. They seem to be very much orientated around the landlords and tenants are less of a priority.
We've lived in one of their properties for a little over a year, 7 months of which we have had to live with a split bath with water running through the kitchen ceiling and down the wall. After numerous requests to have the problem fixed it still remains.
We have kept our side of the bargain, paying the rent on time and looking after the house but we have been, and still are being, let down by 1 Stop Lettings and in particular Eirian, the owner, who constantly makes excuses or tells us the work will get 'done this week' but nothing happens.
My advice would be stay away from 1 Stop Lettings and go with one of the more established letting agents in Aberystwyth like Lloyd, Herbert and Jones who, compared, are excellent.

By far the best lettings agent I have used: tenant friendly, professional with very reasonable fees, such as they are. Used for over three years and I'd still be renting from them had the owner not decided to redevelop, at which point Eirian and her team couldn't have worked harder to find me somewhere else.

I have recommended them to everyone I've come across who were looking for somewhere to live in Aber.

Got back to us super quickly when we were interested in a property. They sent all the forms and information that we needed as soon as we got off the initial phone call, they kept us up to date with everything and let us know almost immediately if there was anything else they needed from us.

They also gave us information and leaflets about our rights as tenants and landlord rights to make sure we were well informed and wouldn't get taken advantage of.

I would 100% recommend them.

I would never use these people. I was informed by staff that they have lists for people to have first choice on properties ...I was informed by an ombimus person this is illegal. 2 house we applied to look at but not one response. when I rang to ask why not the response to email I was told its subject to let already. I asked but I haven't been able to see it to put in an application as i emailed you two weeks ago for a viewing.. to be told we have a list...absolutely disgusting way to treat people.

Money grabbing and try to take advantage of students. Most of the staff and young and inexperienced some are extremely rude. Avoid at all costs. Students stay in student accommodation!

Great staff, always really helpful. Reported an issue with the oven about an hour ago and there's a new one being fitted as we speak. What more can you ask for

I have rented through most of the estate agents in Aberystwyth in my 10 years here. The owner, manager and staff at 1 Stop are exceptional. Caring, responsive, professional, my list goes on and on…. I’m so happy to be back with them after renting my first ever home here, when I had issues that most estate agents would turn their backs on, but not these guys, who helped me immensely. I’m grateful but also rationally very, very pleased with the professionalism here. This team understands the business, and understands the client. Can’t recommend enough.

Literally do not help you with anything. Renting a house share from them and its full of mold and rats and they do not care. Wont even try and help me get in touch with unresponsive landlord. Don't even bother replying when u ask about other properties. Moreover, if ur on DSS they won't even consider u: which is illegal but they don't care. Do not go with this agency.
