The Parlour Recording Studio

We are the first Swiss band that the Parlour ever had, and we recommend this studio to every foreign rock band who’d like to record their album abroad. Accomodation was very comfy, the equipment very impressive, and above all, Neil Haynes was such a great producer to work with. He managed to get the best out of our tracks and gave us some precious advice to improve them. We really enjoyed the whole experience from start to finish. Thanks Neil !

We recorded our album Dark Matter at The Parlour with Neil Haynes and we will definitely be making a return to the studio for our next album. Parlour Studios boasts a wealth of equipment and more importantly the engineers know how to use it! Neil was fantastic for us and we couldn't fault his work on our album. He was patient and calm but also gave us a kick up the ass when needed! Neil even helped us to re structure parts of our songs. I am a full-time solo musician who sings and plays acoustic guitar. I have recorded in many studios over the last 25 years. However I had never walked away from any previous recording session, with a feeling that I'd completely got the result I was after. That changed in August 2014 when I met Neil at Parlour Studios. If I had to try and say why Neil got the result I wanted, I guess I would say it was a combination of his 'Excellent' equipment, knowledge and his ability to creatively motivate. Neil has recorded and produced 2 albums and 2 singles for us and all of them sound incredible. We are so proud of all of our recordings, and are thankful for his guidance and ear!

Great rehearsal studios, plenty of space and very clean.only downside is no air con but at such a reasonable rate a small quibble!

Under the careful attention of our sound engineer, Neil, we put down 4 tracks in two days. He said it couldn't be done, but worked assiduously to make sure it did. Covid helped, we were well rehearsed! We are very pleased with his approach and the resultant stems. So much so that, that Neil has been asked to mix our first track from the session. The studio itself is lovely, and clearly the result of a lot of thought by Neil and his partner a very enjoyable experience.
