Quirky Campers - Campervan Hire

We rented Rex for 5 days during October half term, and had a brilliant time. 2 adults and 2 kids (and all our stuff, wetsuits, etc) fitted in no problem, and we all slept v. well in him at night! Rex is kitted out with everything you need (kettle, plates, cutlery, herbs and spices, cafetiere, etc). We did bring our own teapot, and the cafetiere is only small.
He was easy to drive and park, and the owner was lovely and very flexible with timings (we underestimated the traffic coming out of Cornwall!).
All in all, would highly recommend this lovely van!

It's official. We love Rex.

Rex was our VW lovingly restored Campervan which I hired for my husband's surprise 40th Birthday weekend adventure. We had the best time ever and loved every minute of our time with Rex. He came with all the extra comforts that you don't get when camping in a tent, from great cooking facilities, cosy beds (upstairs and down) and heaps of secret storage cupboards, plus very cool 'touch' lighting and brilliant black out curtains. Our 4yr old gave Rex so many hugs and he was very sad to have to give him back to his owner, Jamie. The attention, love and care Jamie has given to restoring Rex is evident everywhere in the van. We felt really honoured to be able to hire Rex and get to experience what it's really like to camp in a campervan. The experience was so good that we're seriously considering buying our own van one day soon ! I just want to add that the whole booking process via Quirky Campers was brilliant and seamless too!

We loved our weekend in Rex. The van is beautifully converted and very comfortable and cosy. Jamie gave us a thorough introduction on how to use the van and we found it easy to drive and use. The chairs spin around making the living space feel bigger and the pop top meant we could cook standing up. Jamie also included thoughtful bits such as hot water bottles and a pack of cards. Overall we found it a wonderful way to travel and sleep, and really want our own campervan now!

Bags of space for two, plus space for big mountain bikes on the back and cupboards with plenty of cupboards for clothes, climbing gear within. Of the two bedrooms available, we preferred downstairs, with morning tea at arm's reach. Rex drove well and easily cruises down the motorway, lots of envious stares from other drivers which I now realise doesn't happen in my Octavia. The parking sensors were handy, and MPG pretty good. Beautiful carpentry throughout, all plates, pans etc provided, all topped off by a fine pair of plastic cup holders in the dash up front. Thanks Jamie, a great 10 days!

Jamie has done a fantastic job of converting Rex into a very comfortable and functional camper. My girlfriend and I had a great week cruising around Devon and Cornwall, and were nice and snug despite the December weather. We can thoroughly recommend Rex (and Quirky Campers) to anyone else seeking to comfortably enjoy life on the road for a while!

We loved our holiday in Rex. We went to Denmark and Sweden and it was an easy and comfortable ride. Surprisingly spacious cupboards and a beautiful finish that got lots of admiration from fellow campers. The bed was very comfortable. We loved the blackout blinds and tinted windows. We will definitely be hiring Rex again!

We had a fantastic week in Rex, sun, sea and surf in Cornwall. Rex is well equipped and beautifully converted, the carpentry is incredible. Rex is a pleasure to drive and it grand to have two USB portals to charge ones devices. Jamie is easy to communicate with and accommodate are needs. Thanks Jamie for ledning us Rex and a great VW Van experience.

We had a great time with Rex. Jamie explained all the functions and how to use them. The conversion has been done really well, commercial fitters should take a leaf out of Jamie's book. Well thought out and individaul. We espaecially liked the sliding cupboards. A few enthusiasts peeped inside an loved it. We had a great tour around Devon and Cornwall and would definatley use Rex again or reccommend
