These rehearsal rooms are cold in winter and unbearably hot in summer, and they don't have foam on the walls so you get issues with feedback and the drums are deafening.

Also they double booked us once, vthen blamed us for it, when it was demonstrably not our fault!

But on the plus side they're cheap and there's a kitchen and they offer more flexibility in the slots you can book than others.

Also there's a nice bar nearby - you can sit outside in summer - for taking a break mid-practice.

Although I was tempted to only give Super Unison 3 stars, fact is we keep coming back so they can't be bad.

Pretty dingy but nice location and a fair price point. Could do with a few more choices of guitar amp. Badly needs air con in the spring/summer months, especially in the top floor rooms.

Good practice rooms at a decent price. They let you add cymbals and other parts for a bit more, but nothing crazy. Book about 2 or 1 weeks in advance as the place fills up a lot!

Great studio. Affordable and with a kettle! Gets very hot in summer but that just forces you to take breaks!

Super Freezing Studios more like! No sign of heating whatsoever in zero temperatures. How am I supposed to focus on rehearsing when my fingers are seizing up due to the cold? Don’t be mean - put heaters in the rooms. I couldn’t wait to get back to warm civilisation.

Not too expensive, lovely staff and amps provided.

I found there was an almost comical lack of space, starting with the very narrow staircase to the attic rehearsal room we'd booked, which made it awkward to carry my amp up.

We then had to duck under a pipe at eye level across the door to the room! Inside the door there was a foam covered block presumably to stop peeps walking out directly into the pipe.

The room itself has a sloping high ceiling, with the drum kit under the low end of the roof. Was cramped for us as a six piece, but the large roof light and the headroom the back of the room stopped it being claustrophobic. The photo is a panorama so makes it look a quite a bit bigger.

There was no ventilation at all (had to open the door between songs), and it could really benefit from air conditioning. There were at least three large fans to move the stale air around fast.

The amps provided worked, but the bass amp missing a switch top or two, and the guitarists weren't impressed with the sound, but that could well be a question of spending time playing with settings. The PA was effective.

Overall a good room for a four piece when it's not too hot outside, but we'll be looking for somewhere else.
