Gumtree 4x4 Ltd

Gumtree offer a fantastic and friendly customer service and they are straight talking. I believe they gave me the best advice for my D2 and I was more than happy with the service they provided me and the cost. Will most definitely use Gumtree for all my future Landrover needs.

Until two weeks ago I had never heard of Gumtree 4x4. I placed a general request on Facebook and the recommendations came in. Someone I went to school with recommended Paul and his team. I called them from abroad stating that my Discovery 3 had an EGR failure, lots of system fault messages and I had abandoned it in a hotel car park at Gatwick. They provided a proper written quote and recovered the vehicle by lunch time. I knew immediately that they were experienced from the honest and accurate information they provided to the point that I asked them to increase the scope of work I wanted to be completed. I have since discovered that two other people I know already use Gumtree 4x4 and in turn I have passed the message on to someone I know with a D4 and Puma Defender.

I'm always very anxious about trying out somewhere new for work on my Range Rover but I needn't have worried at all. Even though there are places closer to me, I'd looked at reviews and heard good things from others so, in spite of the 30 minute drive, booked it in to investigate some alarming noises from the front suspension. I turned up to be greeted by John and within half hour his mechanic had confirmed what the problem was. Left it with them and it was all done the following day, including new front brakes which John had rung and said needed doing and refixing an exhaust heat shield which I had asked them to look at as it was rattling very badly.

Very pleased with the exceptionally reasonable price, much less than I was expecting compared to previous visits to the main dealer. I will definitely be back again next time I need anything doing on the Range Rover.

In summary, these guys know what they're doing and it's refreshing to find somewhere that cares about their work and the customer. Would have no hesitation in recommending them.

Took my Range Rover to Gumtree 4x4 after a recommendation. My vehicle had an oil leak and they completed all the work and updated my software for the towbar I had fitted so I could use tow assist, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Well worth the journey over to them, will be using them again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them for any Land Rover needs.

After 5 visits to 2 other garages I thought my Discovery 3 was doomed. Thankfully these guys fixed my HDC fault first time and were happy to install the towbar electrics I've never go around to. Also fixed a parking sensor and did a stage 1 remap (well worth it).
Nothing was too much trouble and all very reasonably priced.

Not just for Landrovers! Took my single cab D-Max arb tipper in for new leaf springs, reversing camera and hitch adjustment and was very impressed with the friendly and effective advice and service provided.
