The staff were so friendly and the food was amazing and home cooked. Made a fuss of my two year old and really made us feel welcome. Took cakes home with us because they looked far too good not to try! Must go into the shop next door too!

Friendly staff, the cakes look alluring though we didn't have any. Lovely cosy setting.

Superb little place, just had probably the best bacon n egg sarnie I've ever had.

Got some scones which look excellent to take away and the wee fella had an ice cream.

Fantastic service, friendly staff and really good prices, will be back again when in the area

26th August 2022.

Having visited this cafe several years ago, I can honestly say the place has gone to the dogs.
My partner and I arrived at approximately 12:45. really looking forward to a nice luncheon.
Unfortunately, we found the menu to be extremely limited and after being informed that, no bacon, sausage or white bread was available, this limited our choice even further.
We settled on Jacket potatoes as a compromise, then after waiting 45mins during which time, several people who arrived later than us were served their food order before ourselves.
Finally after even more time had passed, we were informed that no jacket potatoes we’re available either.

It is beyond comprehension, that with such a limited menu in place, that sufficient stocks were not available.
We were given the the excuse that they had been extremely busy.
However, even so, the communication between kitchen and table service seemed none existent.
We will not be returning and we are disappointed that such a lovely past venue has deteriorated to this current standard.

Went in on the two days that we stayed in the village. End of September. Very good and friendly service. Staff are friendly and helpful. If you want a good breakfast go there. We came from Sussex.

Had a lovely breakfast at the Old Rock Cafe. The decor is lovely and cozy and had been really nicely decorated for Christmas.

The owner and staff were absolutely lovely and looked after our little cavapoo as well as us.

Really quality ingredients used the breakfast and nicely cooked. Would definitely recommend stopping in for a bite to eat or a coffee either in or to takeaway if in the area or going for a walk.

Will definitely be back when next in the area

Visited this place with the family after a lovely visit to nearby Wycoller. The staff were super friendly and polite, the food was delicious and well-priced. They were dog friendly, in fact they absolutely loved our two dogs. And to top it off it was in a nice quiet setting with nice ambience. We ate outside as the weather was nice and I even saw a beautiful wild pheasant. Lovely.
