German Doner Kebab

Our family go to takeout place. Don't want to cook? German Doner. Fancy takeout? German Doner. The food is awesome, acceptable price and okay timing. If you get delivery, food is a bit lukewarm but putting it in the microwave for 10s does the trick. Sometimes you don't even need to do that. Have a kid who is picky, and he loved it. Chip portion is a bit small but nothing too bad. Overall, great

visited today and had the doner nachos. really enjoyed them afshan and muskaan were briliant. saif was really quick in the kitchen

I liked it enough to go back a second time. (I'm here on business for two weeks, staying near by.) I really want to like it enough for 5 stars, but while good (and plenty!), I just feel like the taste doesn't quite live up to the looks. Maybe more drippings or something to boost the flavor. I did take away both times.

The only thing really stands out is the packaging. Food taste is average and meat portions are small unless you pay the extra.
We ordered a family bundle (for 4) this time and found the food to be dry. Also they gave two normal sized kebabs and two small kiwi kebabs. Why say it's bundle for 4 people when clearly it did not fill all of us.
In my opinion, for the same price one can get a nice Turkish grill.

We went around 2pm on a weekday afternoon and it wasn’t too busy so we were able to get a table easily. The food arrived promptly (we had the Coco kebab meal and kebab wrap meal). The portion of meat was very good in both and better than other branches that we’ve experienced in the past. The chips were pretty average (though the same in other branches) with no seasoning so tasted rather bland. Service was decent and prompt.

My second visit and with all honesty there is nothing special or unique in regards to the food. The uniqueness and what sets them apart is the packaging, presentation and price, the meal combinations box's. I.e meat, chips and salad all in one box for £4.95 is great value, however what really let's them down is the sauces.

This place used to be my favourite and now I have decided not to come again. Chips are so dry, and donor meat has been reduced and not enough for more than 4 mouths. Disappointed with the new management. I am writing this review as a constructive feedback so this place will improve back to their fomour glory

German Doner Kebab is a great restaurant and we were loyal customers who always order takeaway from them using Deliveroo. We have had good experiences with their East End branches for more than 2 years now. However I unfortunately received the wrong order twice in a row from their Sutton branch. Most recently I got only 2 durum beef wraps when my order was supposed to be durum beef wrap with extra beef and additional feta and onions, and another durum.beef wrap with extra beef. So they completely ignored the extras we paid for. The previous time we ordered they sent us only 1 wrap when we ordered 2. The very apalling thing is that when we called them they insisted that they put the correct order in, and blamed the Deliveroo driver for stealing our food. Whatever happened to the customer is always right? I blame it to poor training of the staff in Sutton branch. Shame.
