The Cranleigh

Absolutely the best restaurant in Hornchurch. Not a chain but privately owned. Great food great service. Christine is the owner and puts her customers satisfaction first. We have had a wedding and a wake there too food was superb and service second to none. Can't wait to go back to the restaurant soon.

The staff at the Cranleigh were fabulous when we sadly had to organise my stepdads funeral tea. From first meeting to decide how we wanted the day to run to the day itself, with sensitive professional staff and amazing food we could not have asked for, or received better service. Could not recommend highly enough 🥰

The Cranleigh is a great venue for birthdays, wakes, anniversaries and any occasion up to 140 or so people. Bar service is very efficient and normal pub prices and all buffet food laid on is excellent. DJ etc. can be arranged if required, we had one and was very good. Christine the owner has made sure all occasions I have been present have run absolutely faultlessly.

Went to the Cranleigh on Friday night for Christmas meal, food was nice and plentiful, good service with friendly and helpful staff, singer was good and everyone singing by the end of the evening,

Absolutely amazing. The staff were so friendly, helpful and accommodating- especially as this was a last minute function room booking and we had dietary requirements. It was everything we had hoped for and more. Will definitely be using them again and highly recommend them!

Went here 15th December evening Xmas meal with friends. We chose the restaurant rather than the banqueting suite. Very good meal, excellent service

Very nice place. The food was perfection, the service excellent.
The live Singer was great too.
Very clean, lovely place. The pictures are nice but the restaurant lacks character, a bit too bare. I could decorate it more creatively and warmly, plants would help too, but all in all it was a lovely experience for a birthday dinner.

Superbly prepared food, friendly helpful staff. Not keen on the temperature check on the way in though, but I understand why.
I ate from the lunchtime menu, with some nice roasted lunch options, beef, pork, salmon all cooked beautifully, but the choice felt a little dated.
I did enjoy my visit though.
