On our way back home from a day out, we came across this place quite by accident.
We had a good feel on entering as it was surprisingly busy early on a Friday night. The decor is very smart, slightly unusual for these days and has a very comfortable, relaxed atmosphere.
It then came to pass that our optimism was justified. Very good food and service with little to fault.
It is the only "Indian in the Village" but the locals are very lucky that the owners are not taking their customers for granted.

Lovely meal in a busy restaurant, good portions and contrasting flavours. Meatballs were memorable. Well staffed although a smile wouldn't go amiss when entering.

Chicken Dansak was very sweet had very little heat and not much flavour, chicken Balti tasted like someone had just put some curry powder in it ten minutes before hand, could not taste garlic on the garlic naan and it was very dry ,not a good meal in my experience at all

Hands down the very best curry I have ever had. The food was just delicious, the staff were friendly and welcoming, attentive without being overbearing and all of this at a reasonable price. It's a crying shame I live 160 miles away, I'd be here every evening. Thank you to all at New Dilshad. If I can ever be back I shall be 👍

Went there last Friday for the second time. While the food is quite good the service is too quick. You've no sooner finished one course when the next one arrives. It seems a rush to get you in, serve and get you out as quickly as possible and then get the next group in. Also the staff are so miserable particularly the old guy who hardly speaks and never cracks his face. We didn't feel welcome.Such a shame as the food is good. Won't be returning.

Great service and food. They forgot one of our curries when we came to collect, but sadly we already arrived home when we checked it. They quickly delivered the missing curry to our home address which is around 5 miles away. Great customer service and the food was fantastic as always. Definitely recommend

Can’t fault the service and restaurant area was great but surprised at all the positive reviews in reference to the quality of the food. Table for 8.
Chicken was obviously frozen, not fresh and tasted more like it was boiled then grilled
Curries were oily. Some naans were from a pack, exactly the same taste you have from a supermarket. Chapati bread were sent back as too hard to eat. Overall disappointing and would never return.
