Attentive service, lovely food. Not an amazing experience but was good on most levels and the waiter was lively, would go back.

I went with my 2 friends who I haven't seen for ages and we had a lovely time. The food was delicious and piping hot and fresh, the waitress was lovely and attentive and the wine was very nice. Atmosphere was nice and warm and cosy. We had a great time and we will go again soon.

I have never given a 1 star review but I think honesty should be here. When I looked at 4.6 stars with 160 reviews and seeing a cartucho pasta, made me think it was a real genuine Italian restaurant, but it cannot be further from truth. Looking back, I read the 1 star reviews and I wish I had done that, because those are the genuine reviews. No fault to the waitress but the food. Ordered a scogglio and a pizza. Never had I ever have a bad scogglio til today, it had frozen very hard on the bite calamari, 1 prawn which was not fresh not moist not tasty and mussels that were not cooked with the main but probably before and just added when plating the food. My husband had a pizza that he didn’t even finish, not even asking to take it away. The plain truth is that borders were hard and not a pizza you would expect for 14£. I have to say that when approached the waitress about the lack of tiger prawnS a discount was offered. I am not a person who likes to criticised but a foodie who had expectations on having a delicious meal, not leaving a review of our experience might make others judge wrongly the culinary expectations they may have to be totallly disappointed. Won’t be coming back.

To cut what could potentially be a very long review short, it took 2 hours for the food to arrive after several phone calls back and forth to the restaurant, I live a 5 minute drive from the restaurant and yes I would of driven but we had had a few drinks that night otherwise I would of done! I ordered pizza as did 2 other members of my family and as you will see, the bottom of the pizza was black! Following day all the people that had Pizza, including myself were very ill!! To put the cherry on the top, they forgot two of the main courses ordered, so 2 of my family members went without their main and just had their starter!

I was rather disappointed with the whole experience, the food was a bit meh; calamari chewy and only 1 prawn in the whole dish and it cost £14!?. Wine was nice though. The customer service was so bad it almost felt like we were part of a sitcom. No greeting, told to just sit anywhere, no chat, on her phone, didn't ask how the food was...nothing and no goodbye at the end...not sure if she was working her notice or trying to get fired but made it very clear to us and everyone else in the restaurant she didnt want to be there and we were a bit of an inconvenience to her. Such a shame as people had said nice things before and we hadn't had a meal out for months so sad it wasn't the best. We wouldn't come back.

Group of us booked. Mixed experience of food served.. some OK some good and some like mine inedible. Would not return. Young girl serving did her best to cope on her own but needed more staff.

This place used to be great. Looking at recent reviews and my recent experience it's gone massively downhill. Ordered mains with changes in the notes as we always do, turned up incorrect. Called up and staff member rudely stated the comments were not on the order and will not send a substitution. The quality has been on the decline for a while but now the service has also declined we will not be going again.

Strange to see some of the bad reviews. We’ve driven past this place numerous times so decided to give it a go. Small restaurant but the service was great and the food was authentic and excellent.
