Stayed here over the Friday and Saturday night for my wife's dad's wedding reception, and the entire experience was fantastic. The steak burger from the menu was brilliant, and the buffet food on Saturday (sandwiches, pizzas, kebabs) were all amazing. The staff were so friendly and helpful, especially Sarah, who we couldn't have asked for any more from. An absolute delight.

Great food and great staff. Every meal here has been delicious whether it’s a starter, main, or even dessert! The milkshakes are great too! Extremely friendly group of people who run The Squirrel, I hope to visit again!

Just had a fantastic meal , a very nice fillet steak. Not been in quite a few years so has changed alot. They have a really nice outside dinning area perfect in this lovely hot weather. Thank you.

Excellent stay at this charming hotel. We only stayed one night and ate in the bar/restaurant. The food was very good, good choices on the menu from expensive cuts of steak to fish and chips, we plumped for the Lamb Shank and Moules, both very good. The deserts were a bit basic, but nicely presented.
The room we stayed in was comfortable, basic but functional with tea and coffee but like so many places no thought is given to how you fill the kettle up from awkwardly placed taps, use the shower head! Comfortable bed if a little noisy on the wooden floorboards, the rooms are in an old cottage. In general the rooms could do with sprucing up, they look a bit tired, carpets need a good clean. Overall a solid 4*

The food was excellent and the staff knowledgeable and attentive. The pub/ restaurant itself has been beautifully decorated and is light and airy. Only slight let down was the deserts - the menu had a very Italian feel to it, but the desserts are very basic British pub choices. I would have loved to have had a gorgeous tiramisu to finish our meal.

Popped in for afternoon pint and something to eat. Bar staff and food OK but looking at receipt at home, disappointed to find I had been charged service , which apparently was optional but not mentioned. And that for bringing out 2 chicken burgers to the table. I know times are hard but that is sharp practise and on the strength of it, I won't return. Has this not happened, I wound have rated it higher. Check your bills before paying......

The woman serving us was clearing having a bad day (Sunday)...I felt sorry for the other staff working with her.
Food average. Milkshakes- made my husbands tummy go out.
Chips were nice!

Decor was nice.

It's a regular lunch meeting point. Tasty food, a lovely pint of Timmy Taylor's, and a nice location. Outside seating is plentiful, either on the decked area or in the garden. Always a pleasure.
