The Tea Terrace Restaurant & Tea Room (Guildford branch)

Lovely scones , nice place visually. Staff friendly. Order was taken without a note. Driks didn't came until the end when we asked where it was. Every chair at a table was dirty. Couldn't resist to wipe it. And it cleans really easily.

The place is just hyped. The seats and tables were dirty, the staff was rude, quality of food wasn't that great either. In short, except for the pretty cutlery and scones, nothing was good. In fact, when other restaurants are so cautious about keep good hygiene, this place stands nowhere.

We visited the Tea Terrace late one afternoon as a celebration for A-Level results. I had been before but two of my children had not and they were impressed from the moment we walked in. We sat outside because the views of Guildford are fabulous. We ordered a set tea for two, which was just perfect and there was a lot of choice. My daughter was really excited by all the vegan and gluten free options on the menu and spent a long time deciding what she would have. My youngest ordered scones and it was no trouble for him to have butter instead of cream. Later, he ordered a piece of cake and this came quickly and with a smile. The staff were so kind and friendly and our order came in good time. It was a lovely way to celebrate and we were very full at the end! It is quite expensive, but for a special treat it is worth every penny. I plan to go back and try some of the other options such as lunch or morning coffee. I think in the summer you definitely want to sit outside but there is limited seating there so it is worth booking. I plan to come back and snuggle up in the cosy sofa seats in the winter.

Visited for afternoon tea we prebooked many weeks before. They had no cakes for the celebration afternoon tea which was disappointing so We decided to have a lunch instead, was really nice. Service was great and staff very friendly and attentive.

My daughter and I visited the Tea Terrace in Guildford for afternoon Birthday tea. It was very enjoyable.The staff made you very welcome and they are lovely . Food is excellent freshly hand made and prepared.
It's very clean and tidy .would defiantly recommend you to go don't push you out take your time. Been several times and it's good. Had breakfast and lively dinners.

Do you want to feel yourself as a princess from fairy tale? Visit this place!!! Beautiful decor! Very friendly staff!! Good menu, vegan and gluten free options. Breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea or just coffee/tea and cake (what my friend and me had today). Definitely will be back 😁

The place is quite nice and a different experience compared to other cafes in Guildford. Friendly staff and they have renewed their chairs recently which is nice too. I like their wide variety of meal options and food also tea. It is a bit overpriced but it’s ok.

Such a lovely place. Nice decor and lovely views of guildford. Good vegan and non-vegan food options. Quirky and cute! Staff were really nice too!
