The Forge Kitchen

The Forge Kitchen has a modern, industrial and cool style interior. The staff are friendly, chatty and attentive. The food is wonderful, a little expensive. I had a burger, fries and spicy slaw. I didn't have a cocktail but the ones I saw go to the table next to me looked amazing!

My husband and I visited this restaurant on a whim one afternoon for lunch and were absolutely impressed.☺️

He had a beef burger with sweet potato fries and I had the chicken burger with fries. We also shared some wings. Soooo good!🤤 Will definitely visit again when we’re in the area.

Should have left this review months ago (sorry!)... We hired out the whole place for the day for our wedding reception (120 guests) last October.

Grant, Kieran and the team could not have been more accommodating. The sheer effort, communication, coming up with special items on the menu, organising timings etc was just impeccable. They made us feel like nothing was any bother, provided excellent value for money and so many people commented on the unique and beautiful venue and delicious food.

Grant just seemed to "get" us, and we couldn't have asked for more. Through his industry experience he provided sensible advice, and worked with us to provide as secure an environment as possible due to Covid. I must try to dig out a photo of the decorations - we provided them and Kieran worked tirelessly (I've since heard overnight!) to put them up, and he did a stunning job.

I've just seen that they're now officially offering the venue for hire. If you're thinking about it, pay them a visit, The Forge made our wedding extra special and we still go back there for meals!

Lovely food, lovely staff, lovely cocktails. Was my first time here. Would definitely go again. I recommend the dirty fries and onion rings for sides!

We visited the forge kitchen in July, had the absolute best experience, the food was so good we ate there twice in one weekend. We have talked about going back since, and tonight was that night. There are no words to explain how amazing Daniel is, every time we have visited he has gone above and beyond!! The environment is fun, food is good, and the service is even better! We will definitely return again and again!

Me and my partner had a fantastic experience here. The servers went out of their way to get us fantastic seats.

The food was divine, especially at the price point! The cocktails were brilliant; served with dry ice to create a smokey show.

I would 100% recommend everyone tries this absolute jem of a restaurant at least once. I will definitely be returning and would personally rate it as one of, if not the best restaurant in Ipswich!

We just been lucky to get a table without reservation on busy Saturday night. It was 4 of us and we all had something different to eat. It was absolutely amazing. We all enjoyed our tasty dishes. Quick service and nice staff. Unique atmosphere. Brilliant vibes. Loved the food loved the surrounding.

Second time dining here and it was as good, if not better, than the first time! Everything from the atmosphere to the staff, food to drinks is spot on. We tend to go for a smorgasbord of different plates as there is so much on offer but the highlights are those in the picture: burnt beef ends, charred iceberg, loaded fries and onion rings. Added the ham tacos this time and they were epic. Special mention needed for the mac and cheese which is the best. Now, there are some fancy and intriguing drinks on the menu but these gingerbread espresso martinis were a perfect liquid dessert to end the night on. Definitely going back and definitely ordering more of what we love and maybe a couple of new ones.
