Capo Lounge

Me and my husband popped in for a drink with a couple of our friends and our son and it was a very pleasant visit. The drinks were made promptly and tasted great, and the staff were some of the nicest people we've ever come across. Every single member of staff we spoke with were all absolutely lovely to speak with. Me and baby also visited the changing station for the first time, which seemed clean and sturdy.

Capo lounge is definitely a first choice if we ever want to sit down for a drink and some food.

First time visiting and was very impressed. Lovely staff and great food. We sat upstairs which was quieter than downstairs and we really enjoyed it. Downsides, the toilets are upstairs which may make it difficult for some customers and the lemonade wasn't very nice. Would definitely revisit just wouldn't have the lemonade.

What a beautiful restaurant the interior design has been done I'm a way that realxes you with lots to look at .. as for the meal wow! .. every mouthful was as tasty as the last, staff are friendly ... with attention to detail this whole experience was amazing

The Capo Lounge was recommended by my partner. Her second visit and my first. We were greeted politely by Ellie who, politely and conscientiously asked about any allergies and if we're eating in or taking away. I ordered the bigger breakfast and my partner ordered the stack of pancakes. The food came quickly, hot and as ordered and they were accommodating to specific tastes.
The place itself I would call "folksy". It's adorned with art, the low light gives it a hideaway kind of feel and the piped music added to the vibe.
Also, as someone who has worked in the bar/restaurant business, it was nice to see individual tip jars rather than a communal pot.
I would recommend it and will go again to try out a lunch meal.
My one and only little itty bitty note is the toast could've been grilled longer but it was still nice, non the less. 🙂👍

We love this place. The music, the decor.....the food! I'm gluten free, so really appreciate great food I can eat. My daughter (10) loves the food too. We pretty much had eaten everything in a few minutes, I was gutted it was over. Had to get desserts!

We arrived at around 2:00 p.m. but, despite seeing several empty tables that simply required dirty dishes clearing, we had to wait about 10 minutes before being seated. While we waited for a table, several other potential customers arrived, waited a few minutes and the left, obviously not prepared to wait it out.

The food was okay, but (to my mind) was overpriced. £25.60 for two chicken salad ciabata rolls, a pint of shandy and a glass of lemonade seemed excessive. I think (in a pub) you could probably have bought similar for £10 or more cheaper - and would probably get chips with it as well. There are vegetarian, vegan and gluten free menus but, since we are none of those, they didn't apply to us.

The waiters do not take orders, one has to go to the bar, order your meal and drinks and then return to your table to wait for it to be delivered. This was not explained to us and we spent another 10 minutes trying to attract the attention of a waiter before a friendly customer on the next table enlightened us.

The 'ambience' is okay, it's unusual and interesting, but I can find that in many other places at cheaper prices. The waiting staff seemed completely disinterested in whether we were enjoying our brief visit or not, we were not asked if the food was alright and beyond actually delivering it to our table they didn't interact with us at all.

We shan't be returning.

Nice place clean, staff friendly and good food. Unfortunately one day I could not have a meal as no table downstairs and no lift for the upper floor 😫 so I left.
