Always enjoyed going here but I think it may have just changed hands and they need time to "settle in". I don't like doing a bad review and will go back in the hope of being more positive soon. We ordered 3 burgers, chips were black and bacon was burnt, I had the ham & chutney sandwich which was very disappointing as they used cheap margarine and the taste lasted for hours in my mouth, they forgot to put the chutney on and the ham was awful, very cheap pack bought, where was the lovely homemade ham!? Yet it was the same price for cheap marg and nasty ham, not a great start. However, the young lady who served us was excellent and professional but, please, help make her job easier, she is after all the face of your business!!
Go back to using good products and put love into your cooking please and I will definitely be back.

Often one of our favourite places to eat, and again it hasn’t disappointed. Welcoming and attentive staff. We visited for breakfast and the food was as always amazing, proper good local produce. Keep doing what you do.

Visited for lunch today with a friend and puppy 🐶 Chose to eat outside, staff couldn't of been more helpful and the food was delicious, broccoli and Stilton quiche was yummy 😋 Thoroughly enjoyed by all, especially the puppy who was spoilt with treats by the staff. Will definitely be back very soon 🙂

We have been for Sunday lunch many times, we also had takeaway during COVID and always enjoyed it. However yesterday the meal was disappointing, one of our favourite dishes the Cheesy mash was most unappealing, I think it was because it was 🍊 coloured and the cheese was stringy. We may come again at a later date.

5 stars isn’t even enough for this beauty! We originally booked room 3 & once we arrived, the owner realised it was on the smaller side for us having a child and puppy so upgraded us to room 4, we were overly pleased with both rooms as they were equipped to perfection but room 4 was just WOW! Free standing bath with a view to die for was a huge hit with us, even our 6 year old who loved knowing he could see the horses in the stables from the bath. Such a beautiful site. The food was just amazing, we had a full English, veggie English & pancake stack & our puppy had a plate of doggy biscuits (which was a lovely little touch). The towels & bedding on child’s bed smelled amazing, room was exceptionally clean & we can not wait to return for longer next time. The owners are lovely & very welcoming, as were the girls in the bistro. Thank you for a lovely stay (Ruby says thank you also for her doggy treat bag left in the room on arrival)

WOW! We stayed overnight and , being vegetarians, we expected a meagre unexciting offer of breakfast. How wrong could we be! We were taken aback by the variety, amount and presentation of our full vegetarian breakfast. The waitress was lovely and polite. On our way out we spoke to a couple enjoying breakfast. They were equally impressed and told us that their dog had also been given a sausage! Thank you, we will be back soon.

The Sunday Roast, the portion is very generous...
The pudding is one of my favourite... sticky toffee pudding is heavenly.
It was a lovely experience

What a lovely jewel of a place. We were looking for somewhere for lunch and happen to pass this place and gave it a try. We were warmly welcomed by the owners and had a fabulous lunch, all freshly prepared, with a very agreeable coffee, tea and scone. Very pleasant ambience and comfortable dining, with a well stocked bar, if you wanted something stronger. It was like sitting in your own front parlour and relaxing. We were so impressed, we booked an evening meal.
The dog had a great time too and very spoiled. This will definitely become a regular spot for us.
