Wellington's Cafe & Bistro

Went today with my daughter. I had the sticky chocolate and orange cake which was delicious,my daughter had a tea and sausage roll. We took everything to the table except the sausage roll as it was to be heated. The young lad who came to the table practically threw the sausage roll on the table.Maybe he was having a bad day but if you work with the public then lets at least have a modicum of decency

Really disappointed this morning ordered 4 breakfasts 1 being gluten free.
When it arrived the girl said the toast is gluten free but the sausage and black pudding on the plate was not gluten free. She never offered to take it back and re do with no Gluten. Will not be going back in a hurry

Love love this place, it was recommended to me not as a garden centre but what else they sold. Body lotion, liquid soap and facial products. The price was out of this world, especially as I spend pounds on lotions. Price is incredible so please check it out.

Nice choice of food, very fresh, very tempting cakes. A nice place to meet friends and have a catch up

The cakes are gorgeous. Food delicious. Even on a Sunday lunch the service and food was good. Only downside was having to find a menu and then tell the staff which table you were sitting at, when in fact all we had done was queue for service.

Nice presentation. Good staff. Very clean. Broad menu at very good prices for a garden centre cafe. Food delivered promptly and was quite good. Negatives: Cutlery not very clean. Wooden chairs were not comfortable.

Absolutely disgusting!

Visited the garden centre and decided to get a drink from the cafe. Decided on a coffee and cake which were both adequate.

While I was watching the world go by and drinking my coffee, I was horrified to watch a member of staff there, an older lady, clearing tables and eating the leftover food directly off the plates. It wasn't just one table either, it was several as she wandered around, cleaning up and eating scraps.

I gave up on my drink and left quickly. If this kind of thing happens in the restaurant, who knows what goes on in the kitchen!

Will never go back and will tell my friends not to either.

Very disappointed today. Took my Mother for lunch and she normally loves it but today fatty ham and bullet peas was not very nice and the look of it made me.feel sick. Don't think we will be back in a hurry.
