A real gem of a place. George is a superb host and creates amazing locally sourced and expertly cooked meals.
Very welcoming small restaurant that felt like a place that you can call your own.
Thankfully about as far from a chain restaurant as you can get!
Everything is crooked to order and George the chef personally walkes the dining room to check that the food is perfect.
Ambiance is relaxed and friendly helped by 2 superb front of house staff while George does his magic in the open to view kitchen (assisted by another chef).
Duck pancake rolls 9/10
Salt, pepper belly pork 10/10 (absolutely superb - you can really tell its been marinated for days, lovely depth of flavour).
Teriyaki noodles and salmon 9/10
Surf n turf (10oz top quality local ribeye plus 8 large shrimp) 10/10
(Too many hand cut chips!)
Sticky toffee pud and tiramisu both lovely.
We'll not need to eat for a week!
Small wine list but a well thought out selection.
I work in many 5* restaurants (one has a Michelin star) and the Cwtch restaurant in Llantwit Major is as good if not better.
Do not pass this by... Treat yourself!
We'll definitely be returning.
Bravo George 👏👏👏

Thank you for hosting our reunion lunch. You accommodated our growing group with grace and patience. To say the least, the food was delicious and the service was superb. And special thanks to our waiter, Kofi from Wales. :-)

Manged to squeeze my family in at very short notice today. Fantastic Sunday roast and friendly atmosphere. Thank you, we will definitely return and give you a bit more notice next time.

Was had a delicious Sunday roast diner. From starter to dessert it was a pleasure for the palate.
And that jazzy playlist perfectly fit our day

What a wonderful gem of a place, everything was perfect, the best Sunday lunch we have had for a long time, home made Yorkshire pudding was gorgeous, plenty of lamb, roasties and veg with lashings of delicious gravy. George also very accommodate my request to bring a birthday cake for my niece. We will be going back. Thank you so much the fabulous team at Cwtsh.

Love this adorable restaurant. Atmosphere is wonderfully cosy. Great service and food. As we are non-drinkers, the owner ensured we had a selection of AF prosecco and wine. Wonderful. Thank you.

Absolutely amazing food. Had the lamb which was cooked to perfection. The veg was incredible and I have no words for the gravy. I dove in too quick to take a photo and couldn’t stop to take one. Beautiful restaurant with lovely staff!

Perfect evening for three of us. Menu is small but has a good selection, service spot on and surroundings lovely. Will definitely be back soon.
