Excellent place. Nice service (always trying to make sure you are enjoying your stay). Good food options, lots of starters if you want to try a bit of everything and good list of main courses. Place is dog friendly.

This place is huge, I looked round while waiting for my fish and chips, which was very nice. Plenty of space for parties and group meeting, they even have quiz nights and other things, you have to call them for more details.

Disappointing. The food was ok but the staff didn't listen. Firstly one of our party asked for pink prosecco they brought white.
I had garlic prawns for starters it was literally 3 prawns with full head and tail with a piece of bread i tasted no garlic whatsoever.
One of the main meals we asked without gravy and it came with gravy which they apologised for and then we had to wait whilst they did another plate. Another meal we asked for no apple sauce with the pork dinner, it came with apple sauce! I ordered the spinach & ricotta ravioli which was literally just that nothing else! Presentation not very good at all for the price! May I suggest maybe a little side salad with it and maybe a few pine nuts. Definitely not worth the money and neither were the prawns.
On a positive note it's a nice place with a lovely decor and very clean. The mains ( apart from mine) were enjoyed apart from the two mistakes. Which were two beef roast dinners a lamb and a pork. Quite well presented too. Desserts were average.
So to sum up nice but need to pay more attention to detail and maybe present things better for the prices you are charging.

Great dog friendly pub.
Really tolerant and patient staff which helps when dealing with the local entitled Boomers.
The barman on duty was kind enough to bring my dog a water bowl despite being alone on the bar and seeing to the needs of the overly demanding table of pensioners in for lunch.

We’ve eaten here twice over the festive period and we weren’t disappointed. The food and service were excellent. The atmosphere cosy and traditional. We will be back again I’m sure!

We wanted to try somewhere new and had family visiting from overseas so we decided to come here for lunch today. What a wonderful place!! Absolutely loved the decor, the ambiance was great, the service was nice & the food was delicious. Everything we tried was good. Nice size portions. Great value. Attentive service. We will definitely return on a Sunday to taste their Sunday Roast. And the Lattes were DELICIOUS!!!

Nice & clean, polite staff, good cup of real tea, tasty pea lovage & lettuce soup with a cheese scone, vegan. Lovely celeriac burger...dont know why but thought the celeriac burger was going to be made shredded & combined with something, it was a large thick sliced piece in batter, bit much for me but hubby ate all his, 😀
