First time visit last night and would definitely return. Very nice atmosphere with stylish art decor theme. Staff were very polite, friendly and professional.
Good selection of food on the menu, and potion sizes were very good value for money. Homemade chips were amazing! Speed of service was a little slow to start, would normally like to have my drink order taken as soon as I sit down, but the food came out quickly and there wasn’t much wait between starter and mains. The live singer was also fantastic.
A great addition to the town centre - highly recommended.

I've been a chef for 18 years, worked in some of the nicest restaurants and hotels in Cardiff, travelled the uk working and this was by far the best breakfast I've ever had at such a reasonable price too! 👌

Popped in for a drink after having a meal else where in Caerphilly. In hindsight I think we should have had food at the Gatehouse. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Menu looked (as we didn't eat) delicious and reasonably priced.

Will be visiting for food soon!

Fancied staying local for a catch up with a friend. So decided to try here. Wasn't disappointed. Lovely atmosphere, friendly helpful staff, food was 10/10 and amazing value for the money. Will definitely be a local meeting point for us in the future.

We had a wonderful meal here! The staff were so friendly and welcoming and they even had home made chips which is a very rare sight to behold! I had the brunch and my husband had the hunters chicken, we both enjoyed our meals. I would definitely recommend this place and We will be going back for sure!

Lovely coffee, lovely staff. Went in to have breakfast at 11.15am. They say on the menu until 11 30. Ordered, to be told the kitchen are no longer doing breakfast today, and we could choose something else. As The menu says lunch from 12 I asked if we could order lunch yet, no, because kitchen will take orders from 12. So, busy Sunday but there's a 45 minute gap where you can't order food?????, off to somewhere else!!!!!

Had lunch here after visiting the castle,
service was efficient and quick - prices very reasonable. Staff friendly.
Place was clean and Tidy.

Contactless payment available - all good from our perspective.
