Thaidee Queensferry

I am so disappointed this evening with Thaidee!! We placed a telephone order at 6.42pm with an estimated delivery time of 7.30pm-7.45pm. At 8.15pm we called to enquire as to what the problem was. After a short wait, we were told "We've been really busy, it will be with you in about half an hour, we haven't started cooking it". There was a bit of an apology, but they refused to give any discount or additional food by way of compensation. Sadly order cancelled and a regular customer left feeling very let down.

My food was terrible from here last night I ordered the sarracha rice with beef and chicken it was mushy rice with no flavour and dry tough beef and chicken
I also got the chips for my kids and well they wasn't chips just a load of greasy cut up skin on spuds thrown in a box.
We got the mixed starter the meat again was very dry and over cooked the only nice thing was the spring roll safe to say we won't be ordering again

As with all Thaidee locations service here was second to none. It’s great that the staff can advise you of the most fitting dish to suit your tastes . Being able to make it sweeter , spicer add ingredients or take them away is never too much trouble for these guys and never fails impress . The food is always Hot , fresh and without fault . Believe me it’s more than just Noodles from these guys . FANTASTIC !!!!

We have ordered a lot of meals from Thaidee without issue, but the last time we ordered, we got a pineapple curry instead of pineapple rice (we nearly always have pineapple rice and never order a curry. Oddly the pineapple rice was crossed off the bill. I called to allow them to explain what happened and apparently the chef thought I ordered the wrong thing from the menu so they replaced it with what they thought I meant! Never heard anything like this before. They did offer to bring the rice when I called, but then the rest of the meal would have got cold and we had already started eating it so we told them not to bother. Later I realised the curry was £1.00 less than what we ordered so we also should have been refunded. Next time Thaidee please call us if you think there is an issue with our order. The pineapple rice is our favourite part of the meal that we usually get from you so was a shame this happened. It is not the cheapest takeaway around but we order because the food is nice and the order is usually fine, so hopefully this is a one-off.

Of course I understand mistakes are made. Our bill had the pineapple rice we ordered crossed out with a pen - and the person we spoke to did say that he thinks it was because we also ordered an egg fried rice that they thought we had made an error with the order. I thought he suggested the chef made this change. But anyhow this is one of the oddest reasons I can recall being given for an incorrect order. Anyhow I gave 3/5 not 1/5 because it is usually ok and the food was fine, and I am sure we will reorder but just thought this was particularly odd! To be fair if our next order is at the usual standard then I should post another review to reflect :-)

Noodle dishes were huge - very good portion size. So big, I couldn't finish them and neither could my partner. We added a variety of meat and they did not skimp! Was very tasty and filling.
Mixed starter was delicious and I appreciate the various dips it came with, they were delicious.
My only Strife was the spicy chips. They were a little cold, not spicy, soggy (from a plastic lined cardboard box where the condensation drips into the chips making them wet and makes them cool faster than normal, i would suggest your average paper bag for chips), and a big scrappy looking as they are unevenly cut and cooked with skins on.

I would absolutely eat here again! It was my first time trying this restaurant/chain. Can't fault the dishes flavour, quality or size.

Amazing food! Cooked fresh and always to perfection. Never had a bad meal from here.

Ordered 2 deliveries to my home. Orders were the same just for different amount of people. Very consistent. Best thai ive had so far. Not cheap but not expensive either. Definitely recommend.

Food was well prepared and delicious. It's great that the dishes can be customised according to individual tastes and preferences and it was no bother to have mine made with a bit more spice added.
