Great food, pleasant staff. We turned up without a booking but waiting staff opened up another dining area to accommodate our party of 5. Beautiful roaring fire in main bar area and quirky decor. The dining room had an unusual smell but didn't detract vfrom the enjoyment of our food.

Best roast I have ever had, hands down. I'm used to paying close to £20 now for a roast in London and this was 2 courses for £17! The meat was generous and beautifully cooked, creamed leeks and little potato dauphinois squares were delicious and the rest of the vege was plentiful and well cooked, 100% recommend.

Absolutely fantastic service from start to finish from Dudley and his team. The food was amazing and portion size spot on. Kids menu was a dream for my girls also.

The food was incredible, we had the best Sunday roast. The lamb was super tender, the dauphinoise potatoes were a nice surprise and very tasty. The staff were very friendly and provided great service. Can't recommend the place enough.

Cracking pub. Visited there on a stay at herons retreat down the road. Booking is a must as gets busy. Food spot on. Not your usual pub grub. All fresh and very tasty. No prices on the menu but bill was what I was expecting. Two surprises on the bill though. King prawn starter was quite expensive at £9 but on the other hand the Spanish beer Madri was a bargain at £3.80 for a pint.

Me and my wife had the click and collect Sunday roast.. its easy to see why the place is so popular. By far the best roast I've ever had.

We booked a table of 10 for a 75th Birthday. What a fantastic night. There was a full range of food and different orders going in and everything came back beautifully presented and the taste of god's country on a plate. No much wonder you have to book in here. Staff are so friendly and food is fantastic. Quality shines through.
