Fish & Chippery at Trecco Bay

Absolutely VILE!! Chips were brown and the smell of the oil they use lingered for days. And as for the fish!! If you fancy a battered tadpole !!! And the gravy was just brown tasteless water. The place should be Closed down for good. Disgusting only rated 1 star cos I had no choice. The place don't deserve 1 star.Dont waste your money

When a customer asks for 2 large fish and chips, that is usually what they want! Why on earth the lady at the counter tried to persuade me to have one small and one large, or cod bites instead i will never know!!
If there wasn't 2 large available she should have said so, but she got me in such a tizz i ended up with not what i asked for, and when i got back the fish was so cold it was awful!
Such a shame as the food was lovely last time we were here, hence the second star!

Read the reviews so wasn't expecting much. What we received was a total surprise. Didn't have any cod, so had the pollock, which was lovely and cooked to perfection. Battered sausages were also nice. The chips looked a bit anaemic, but tasted really nice. The curry sauce didn't disappoint either. None of our food was greasy and was steaming hot. Will definitely be going back again. Can't wait to try the cod

Very very very expensive for such dire and small portions of food. We spend £54 on 4 people and didn’t even get what we asked for! £2.99 for a “regular” (more like a small) bag of chips in which 2 of these bags we didn’t even receive. Absolute joke! Never going to any food venue here again! Appalling!

Just paid £12 for the food and threw more than half of it away. No fish had fish bites that were grey and tasteless. Curry was tasteless as well and the chips were dry because they must have been made earlier in the day so they were hard.

They say they can't get cod because of the war in the Ukraine, So it's replaced with "Pollock"(cheap fish) Yet still charging the price for Cod. Be warned.....

Absolute shocking!! 3.49 for your throat to be cut to bits by chips! I'll never go there for chips again 👍

Double the price of our local chippy back home.
Dismal quality food.
Freshly cooked fish was cold (I mean, how do they do that? I watched it being cooked!)
Franko's, down the road has been recommended. Will go there next time.
