Usk & Railway Inn

Found this lovely Inn whilst we were on holiday. We booked and arrived a little early. We were made to feel welcome and had a good drink before our meal. The Inn has a lovely atmosphere, is very clean and all the staff were friendly. Had the best Mac & cheese I had ever had. I cleared my bowl which is saying something! My husband had the rack of lamb. He was impressed also. It was slow cooked and very tender. We shared our dessert the Chef’s Eaton Mess. So fresh and yummy. Excellent portion size and good value for money. Definitely a place we will be returning too.

Would highly recommend a stay at this Inn.
The rooms are nice and tidy, and theres a nice view from each window.
Conveniently next to the bus stop as well.

We stayed here in a room for 2 nights and have already booked to return when we're next due in the area. Very friendly and helpful host and an enjoyable meal in the restaurant. Looking forward to our return.

Nice place on the main road from Brecon. Reasonable choices, but had run out of cod and lamb shank for the day. But this was explained by front of desk before seating. Fresh food so wait was about 20 mins, but that's OK. Food was OK, burger still pink in the middle, and so were the lamb chops. Chips were good. Service and price were above average. Will return but specify well done meat cooking.

Incredible food! Best we had in ages. Delicious pork belly bites, black pudding scotch egg, pie and AMAZING UFC fried chicken. Sooo good. Can’t recommend more highly and we are very fussy!

Rude manager (a Karen) said we could come back and eat an hour later once tables had cleared, but then we came back refused us and said it was too busy. Meanwhile we had been calling to make sure than we could reserve a table and they didn't pick up.
Absolutely shambolic!

We visited for Sunday Roast.... Devine!! Who knew a vegetarian roast could be so delicious! And my meat eating family also enjoyed their dinners! Thank you!

This place is well worth the Visit, we shall Definitely be going again, a very nice Cosy Pub, (A proper Pub ) made us feel quite Well come.....Had a Laugh and Joke with the LandLady & Landlord, Had a lovely Three Course Meal A Sunday Roast....But if your in the Area go give it a try, and children are made welcome too, you won't be Disappointed.....
