Visited as part of a CPAS event weekend. Had a wonderful stay - the food was excellent (They catered for vegan and veggie with a little notice). The staff were friendly and welcoming and went out of there way to ensure that everything went smoothly. The quality of the bedrooms was above and beyond what we expected and we'd heartily recommend any stay here.

During a recent stay at St Columbas House, despite having given my dietary requirements for health reasons, the catering manager was unwilling to listen to respond to my request for a vegan substitute for protein. The waitress and front of house lady were so kind and understanding and wanted to buy in vegan cheese, hardly an expensive item, so each of my meals could have had a meat equivalent, but were banned from doing by the catering manager. I felt uncared for by her and, by the second day, physically unwell after two meals of just potato and vegetables. I couldn't drive to the centre due to a painful shoulder, so was unable to get to the shops to find my own substitutes. In an age where vegan protein is readily available, I am astounded by her response.This review is intended to support people with dietary requirements for health reasons to clarify before coming how their needs will be met.

An absolutely fabulous place to stay. A very warm welcome from everyone on the team and so good to get coffee and tea whatever time of day we needed it.
