What a laugh: "South London's most reliable tradesmen"!! Entirely unreliable, never picks up the phone and does not show up when promised.

London's worst roofers. I booked a roofer - he was very late and when he turned up he admitted he was not a roofer at all but a builder. Was not comfortable climbing a ladder properly. Did not do the work and aspect tried to charge me £180 for a call out. Do not use.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CERDIT CARD DETAILS. THEY ARE TERRIBLE. THEY TAKE MONEY FROM YOUR CARD WITHOUT DOING ANY WORK.

The service that I received from Aspect was appalling. The lack of professionalism, from the absence of an engineer's report after their visit to the subsequent provision of an informal, fabricated report and then the lack of follow up when I complained to Customer Care, was quite shocking.

I had another company come round and they gave me a formal report, provided photos and an estimate of costs for the repairs needed. All free of charge whereas I had to pay £113 to Aspect for their shoddy and incomplete service.

I have never posted a review of any service I have received but I am so angered by my experience that I now understand why people feel the need to do so.

I originally posted this on trust advisor, but they managed to get it removed so I'm posting it on here.

I've finally got around to writing this review, although it's taken me a few years to get over the experience. We had a leak, got them over and they charged over 3 grand to redo the flashing down the left-hand side and around the chimney. First time it rained...still leaking. Got them out again, turns out they only did half the job. Finished the job, first time it rained leaked again. Got them out again wanted to charge me an additional 5 grand to fix it.

One point they made was that there was a crack on next doors flashing at least 6 foot lower down the roof to wear the leak was. Luckily for me I've known how gravity works since the age of ten, but it seems the basic principles were lost on the guy doing the quote.

I knew I was getting a loft conversion done soon, (and there was no way I was going to use Aspect) so my thinking was I'd get the loft company (absolute lofts, who were brilliant) to just fix it. The roofer went up basically said Aspect has done a piss poor job on the flashing (no surprise there) and he quoted me to re do all the flashing, plus the right-hand flashing and replace the coping stones, £1,250. Never had any problems again.

I did complain, got 100 quid back. At this point I was prepared to just let the money go never to have to deal with them again. Even writing this review has made me break out in a cold sweat.

So, if you like being done like you've dropped the soap in a maximum-security prison, give them a call.

Although the roofer was nice and friendly I was asked to sign up to thousands of pounds of repairs on the spot on the basis of limited information.

Of course I said no, and the written quote was said to be forthcoming..

Still waiting seven days later despite chasing.

And I paid £138 for the pleasure of the initial inspection.

Was told and emailed a specific hourly rate plus 20% vat and offered my 15% discount and when they arrived they told me i had to pay for both people even though i didn't ask for 2 people and the people on the phone told me first I wouldn't need to pay, all together I paid nearly twice as much as they said for a small area repair- not even my full roof repair. I'm shocked at how they don't feel guilty about ripping us off, I even tried to tell them that this is not what I agreed on or else I would never have even hired them to come at this price but they were so adamant. Absolutely shocked. Wish I listened to the reviews before hiring them.
