Very disappointed in aftercare sales.
My elderly mother had her house sprayed by lifecote. She recently contacted them as she found a small infestation in the joists. Lifecote was kind enough to come over and explained that the small amount of £6000 didn’t cover these areas and were not prepared to treat the timbers as this would infer that they were guaranteeing these areas as well.
No other advice was given on ways how this could be dealt with.

My mother who has many years experience in retail made a comment about the professionalism of the way the staff answered the phone, this subsequently led to lifecote cancelling a follow up appointment the day before they were due to arrive. They have asked her to refrain from calling again!

Your money your choice!

Stay away from Terry and his team. Once they got your money they stop communication with you if you try and show them the damp has returned. The 20 year guarantee is not true. Nor their damp proofing method

Lifecote has been opened and closed in various guises over the last 15 years. Go to Companies House and search the name. Also check the head office address. It's a letter box in central London.

Their guarantees are literally Worthless. They pretend that previous failed versions of their firm are 'imitators'. Search the name 'Lifecote' and 'scam' and you'll find excellent detective work on this business by a guy called Richard G Johnson.

They also use the name dampproofingnationwide and claim membership of a bogus industry body called the DPA (Dampproofing Association).

They invented the DPA from thin air when they couldn't get membership of actual trade bodies.

Look for the names Graham Steele, Peter Walker and Terry Williams.

They did 25k of dry rot treatment for me that failed after a year. They refused to even visit the house to view the problem. I took them to court and won a judgement against them, but they never paid. I had the right to seize assets, but they don't have anything to seize. Think about that.

Lifecote pretends to be a large firm but is actually a low end franchise model, selling product and 'guarantees' to standalone contractors under its badge.

Lifecote runs the website and gets the leads which they pass to tied franchisees who are obliged to use their chemicals and pay a percentage. There is no 'parent company' worthy of the description.

It's an indictment of UK trading standards that Lifecote are still allowed to trade. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
