Ashley and Jay of Highline Roofing did extensive repairs to the roof of our 1930-built house. The repairs included: renewing a flat roof; taking down and rebuilding a chimney; repointing another chimney; removing and replacing cracked and slipped tiles; lead flashings to two bays and to the chimneys; a lead box gutter in a roof valley; retiling three roof verges; replacing old guttering with new; completely re-roofing a single storey extension which was only built in 2009, but which had been very badly done. They initially inspected the whole roof and advised us about what was necessary, then provided a detailed list of the work to be done stage by stage and listed all materials to be used. This included what code of lead was to be used for various parts of the work. Advice we were given by our surveyor confirmed that they were using the correct code of lead. They brought in other workers when necessary or when other skills were needed, e.g. the bricklayer for the chimney. Ashley, Jay and the other workers were always courteous, punctual, reliable and pleasant. If for any reason they couldn't come when expected or were going to be late, they sent a message every time.They didn't come in the house at all for any reason - they said they would not bother us in the house. It was a pleasure to see how much pride they took in their work. They took photos and videos at every stage to show us what needed doing and then to show us their work when a section was finished. Their lead work is almost like a work of art. Their price was very reasonable compared to two other quotes we had. I highly recommend this company.
