Long story short, while replacing my entire roof the boys accidentally went through my bedroom and passage ceiling and didn’t realise. Soon as I Informed James he sent the boys in the house to clean up the mess. As I couldn’t stay behind and had to travel back to London he told me to leave the keys behind, so I did. Three days later when I went back to the property the roof was completed and the bedroom and passage ceiling was plastered and fixed. Even compensated me for a carpet cleaner. Thank you so much.

John Thomas was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Defining and scoping the job was really easy as he has a real breadth of experience and he has a good eye for the details. The quote was sensible and delivered promptly.

John's team arrived as promised and worked efficiently from 7am, completing the job ahead of schedule and dealing with unforeseen extras inclusive of my original quote (e.g. installing a step up to the front door). The team were polite, hard-working, tidy, good-natured and extremely trustworthy. I am more than happy with the end product - my driveway is exactly as I requested, solidly built and attention to detail has been paid to the job throughout.

A good quality driveway (~35 sq m) completed to a high finished standard in less than 2 days and all site rubbish removed. I have absolutely no qualms about rehiring Principle Home Developments in the future and I will be recommending them to my friends and colleagues.

Given that it was an old roof with a bow in it, the quality of the tiling was excellent. We are very pleased with the finish and the lead work was outstanding, John is a real craftsperson. They replaced an old cast iron downpipe that was leaking and installed a stepped leaded valley to insure the roof would not leak anymore. They were very tidy too, cleaning up every evening before they went home. The whole job took a lot less time than we thought too. Thank you James and team for all your work. From my initial contact I was impressed by the professional approach of this company. John arrived at the date and time we agreed and gave great suggestions to improve want I wanted doing. He gave an on the spot quote and after 3 other quotations I offered him the job.
His fitters arrived on site and proceeded with the renovation in a seamless and professional manner. They cleared up afterwards and removed all debris. I now have a house that looks fabulous. I would recommend John and his team to anyone.

James and his team were brilliant. He came over swiftly to give us a quote. Principle Home Developments have done a number of roofing services jobs for me and have always provided me with an excellent service. They have been cheaper, responded quicker and done a greater job than other local roofing companies I have tried. Always found them to be honest, trustworthy and affordable. Would definitely recommend them.

Sorry this work was completed October 2018, due to ill health this is the first time I am able to review. Contracted with JWT who are in partnership with Principle home development. When work started I was hit with extra (Not known at time) cost due to a piece of timber being removed and fascias not in good order. As scaffolding was already on site I was told I would not incur any extra costs. Originally priced at £7,700.00 for the following:
New Slate Roof
Erect scaffolding for safe access to property

Remove slates
Remove old batten.
Remove old felt.
Remove old ridge tiles.

Install new breathable felt.
Install new treated batten.
Install new slates
Install new dry verge ridge tiles, requiring no cement
Price includes all labour and materials; our price guarantee will beat any like-for-like price.
However there was more work than to be unanticipated and to gain value of having the scaffolding already in place I agreed to extra work more fool me, fascia covered and removed from front of house and house repainted (good sales pitch) The work on the roof was done to a very good standard however the extra work was not carried to the same standard, and they had to return several times, in the end I have just accepted I was taken for a ride. Total cost of work was £17,220.00 which I was confronted with and only received an invoice for £10,000.00 for which had extra work of install new fascia boards and down pipes. £7,220.00 cash transfer. DON`T BE A MUG LIKE ME......

Beware the Owner James Sheen is in Prison and this Company should be struck off as a Director has a Criminal Record.
