I contacted DP Wilkinson to replace the lead and woodwork on my bay window and garage. Initial contact was positive and their quote was the most competitive. I was not around when the job was done, but when I inspected it a week later, only half the garage was done and the work on the bay window was done poorly; the woodwork had been skipped completely, the lead work looked good but some bits had not been finished properly and my telephone cable was just left hanging loose from the roof. They immediately returned to my property and conceded it wasn't done to a decent standard. I gave them the opportunity to rectify their work but a 2 day job turned into 3 months. I had 6-8 visits from the company in that period including the company head. Most were all in agreement that the workmanship was not up to standard, but blame kept being passed around. There was very little attention to detail, woodwork would be fitted without it being flush, gaps were left between the bay window and the wall of the house, gaps were left in the leadwork. The work always felt rushed. After 3 months the job has been completed to the lowest acceptable standard, but it cost me 3 months, countless phone calls to chase them, and I received very poor customer service.

great level of service , i had a nightmare with my roof that needed fixing as it was leaking down my chimney breast and into one of the bedrooms.

they striped some felt, fitted new battens against my chimney breast to carry the felt and refit tiles and redress lead flashing

my roof is now fixed after a nightmare year which i had cowboy roofers install a new roof which went wrong

Asked these guys for a quote to do maintenance repairs on our old & in some places crumbling roof, based on the knowledge that for decades they've had the reputation of being one of the best roofing firms in Lincoln. Held breath when quote arrived, but it was exceptionally reasonable AND they had not suggested anything extra as "being needed". Work was quite difficult for them to access in places, but completed cheerfully AND cleaned up afterwards. Personnel are decent and very pleasant chaps too. All in all, I can say it was almost a pleasure to have our roof overhauled by them - and now we can sleep soundly in our beds at night during this coming winter.

Someone turned up the next morning, got out a drone and found the problem, good start.
That is pretty much where the good part finished. It took nearly a week for the quote to come, which I promptly accepted but then nobody turned up. I then got a call to say it would be done by the Saturday, if not sooner. Saturday morning arrived but no roofer did. I called and was told that they would make a call and get back to me. I haven't heard from then since and that was getting on for two weeks ago now.
If they are too busy or just don't want the work, say so and don't waste peoples time.

The driver of this van is reckless, certainly would not use or recommend the company if the mannerisms is so rude on the road , would not make them nice guys to have working on your property!!

Can't praise the company and staff mire. Withing 24 hours of obtaining a quote for a gutter repair a window opened for the repair allowing the techs to repair the guttering. All in all great service and communication. I'd highly recommend this company.

Called for quote to have roof and guttering repaired . Agreed to the quote . Not cheap but decided to just get the job done as roof was leaking into the house. Both roof and gutter mentioned on assessment .

Lads arrived and got on and repaired the roof tiles . They were looking at the guttering at the same time as initially requested. We informed that seal leaks and needs repairing . They said its leaking because of moss in the gutter . This we said was not the reason. The lads packed up and left .
No issues with tile repairs .

Since roof repaired the gutter still leaks and water has again found it's way into the house.
Company contacted and denied ever discussed the gutter .
Came back out to look and wanted over £300 to repair , even though this was discussed at initial meeting and quote . £300 for a plastic down pipe .

Although gentleman polite and not rude ..... not agreeing to rectify as originally requested .. unless we pay the extra .

As you can imagine...roof leaking issue not rectified....we are left almost in the same predicament as at the start .
It's very disappointing and we feel let down and not valued .

I contacted DP wilkinson about the removal of a porch and Robin was quick to provide a quote and were reasonably priced. They offered a time acceptable time scale but found themselves with an earlier opening so contacted me to see if it was ok, which it was fortunately. They arrived in a timely manner today, worked well and tidied up after doing a very professional job. We will use this company again, very satisfied customers.
