Sole Obsession

I called on the off-chance as I was hunting for a replacement for my worn-out Brooks and got some great ones. Then went to him for advice about good everyday Brooks as well and my second pair are just as good. So much easier to go to someone who knows what they're talking about! Thanks Simon!

Sold me very expensive trainers with advice that I naively took telling me that more support in a shoe was best for all runners and the best option for injury prevention. After weeks of injury I sought physiotherapy and went to a proper running shop in Southampton and have since discovered the complete opposite is true and support is only required if that's what you as an individual need as otherwise it throws your body out of sync and causes injury. I have learnt an expensive and very painful lesson. Go to run company in Southampton and get proper advice rather than someone just wanting a sale and never mind the health consequences

The owner is a really lovely man who was happy to give advice with no pressure to buy. My sister and brother in law have done couch to five k and needed appropriate running shoes. He didn't try to sell us the most expensive but advised on shoes that would be suitable. Fantastic highly recommend to starters and serious runners. Thank you for your time and expertise.

I bought my running shoes from Simon a few months ago and they are still absolutely fantastic. Simon offers wonderful advice to everybody whether beginners or regular runners. You can't get this online! and the prices are fantastic too.

Simon was amazing and so helpful. I've been struggling with my plantar fasciitis and was looking for a pair of Brooks to relieve my feet issues, and Simon knew his stuff! I did my fair share of research prior and he was totally on point with his recommendations and wasn't pushy at all when I asked if I could return later to buy. He has nearly 20 years of experience and unfortunately I wasn't able to make it back to his shop today due to a late return to town, but I highly highly encourage anyone to go there. Support your feet & a small business :)

Between my wife and I we have used sole obsession on four occasions and every time Simon has been absolutely brilliant. Helping us with our odd shaped feet and finding the shoe that fits us best for trail running, walking and street running all in the same pair of shoes. The customer service is top notch and is very customer focused which is such an appeal as we try to support local companies, you wouldn't get this kind of service from one of the large companies!
