I had an appointment on Monday for the gait analysis and I cannot recommend the shop enough!

Due to COVID, the store was experiencing staff shortages and so only one person was working and he was absolutely fantastic. It got very busy but the man working made a real effort with everyone and was able to really seamlessly help multiple customers at once. He was really knowledgeable and friendly and didn't appear to be at all stressed!

The gait analysis was great and I tried on lots of trainers and he gave me great advice. I ended up ordering a pair when I got home from the shops website as I wanted to make sure I was totally sure on a pair and the ones I liked weren't in stock in my size at the shop.

I highly recommend the shop, and especially the man who served me (unfortunately I can't remember his name but I know he also teaches karate!)

I am a new runner and I was entirely reliant on the shop staff to get the right trainer. First assistance was polite and helpful. Second assistance was also polite but realised I had been given the wrong size, I tried on the larger size and it made a big difference. For new runners, get them to double check everything and use the sizing machine.

Staff are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Decent range of shoes but not many running clothes. Gait analysis service was excellent.

I had a great experience. Tarren, a man that helped us find shoes was extremely helpful and knew so much about how to take care of your body using footware when having pain. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful!

Visited last week and this shop is everything a runner needs. The staff are incredibly helpful and knowledgeable without being pushy. Really good range of running shoes. It was a great experience and I was delighted with my purchase. The staff even helped me carry my buggy up the stairs

I had an appointment to examine my feet. I had an amazing experience with this Runners Need branch years ago; the customer service, detailed examination of my feet, followed by the recommendation was top notch, so I presumed it would be the same. I received the exact opposite. I wish I had gotten the employee's name but he was a tall white male and I could tell he did not want to deal with me for obvious reasons. I barely received an examination. I barely had an examination. When I wasn't really happy with the trainers he recommended he had an attitude. He was even sarcastic to another customer whilst dealing with me, and when she did not understand the response he began to patronise her. People like him need to work by themselves in a cubicle if he doesn't like interacting with customers from different backgrounds.

Really helpful, informed service/advice. Two running machines available to try out the shoes and the staff are happy to order in different sizes to store to try on. Would thoroughly recommend.

Visited on Sunday 8th Jan. Fairly well stocked however understaffed, despite there being two servers one of them - an older male, was taking the lead and attempting to serve 4 customers at once instead of allowing the younger server to help out. She seemed like she was keen but just needed some direction however wasn't given an opportunity, we felt bad for her as she was a bit shy and he was clearly had a phallic personality.

The above meant that the older male server was doing a poor job on all four customers resulting in us leaving as well as another customer all down to the lack of guidance.

We were also told we couldn't do a gate test and just given random running trainers to try on, he didn't appear to know much and wasn't able to advise on a personal level. Just kept saying things like - 'Brooks are the best' - great advertising for them, but not very helpful when trying to find the best matched shoe for yourself. 😅

Save yourself a trip and visit The Running Work instead, its 5 mins around the corner and far more personable with a polite and professional team who ask questions and are clearly passionate about running. Good luck people 🤘🏼
