Liked: We loved absolutely everything about this campsite!
The location was remote and peaceful in a beautiful forests, fields and river setting. The air was so fresh.
Poppy camping pod was absolutely delightful! Beautifully decorated, very tasteful and charming. Spotlessly clean and smelled lovely. Enjoying morning coffee on the terrace looking at trees and listening to birds singing was wonderful.
We always stay in a different campsites each time and there are many good ones in Wales, but this one will stay in our memories because it had direct access to a river where we spent hours every day canoeing, swimming and floating on inflatables.
The toilet and shower block - Spotlessly clean. I am a professional cleaner with high expectations for cleaningness and can only appreciate the amazing job that cleaners do there! Beautiful.
Thank you very much, we had a lovely stay.

Liked: When we arrived the 1st thing we noticed was how peaceful the site was and extremely clean. James introduced himself and his wife Danielle extremely friendly and explained where all the site amenities where and showed us to our pitch
The toilet and shower block where very clean and easily accessible. Remember to take 50p for the shower you get 5 mins for each 50p costing correct at time of writing review. There are washing up stations which were extremely clean, there are laundry facilities at a charge which was so useful. Our whole stay was lovely and nothing was too much trouble for James and Danielle great hosts. We will definitely go back again.

Liked: Wonderful hosts who very friendly as soon as we arrived. A clean and quiet campsite with spacious pitches (our stay was non-electric tent). Good toilet and shower facilities. You can hear the river running from the tent, particularly at night, which is very peaceful. Optional fire burners and logs available for toasting marshmallows. Would recommend and stay again. Thank you.

Liked: The campsite is a great size, not too big and not too small. The family that run it are extremely welcoming and super helpful. It is in a lovely location and the river is added bonus. Our son loved paddling and swimming in it. I thoroughly recommend Riverside.

Disliked: We would have benefitted from a disabled access toilet. Our son requires assistance with toileting and ablutions and has a sensory issue with noise and hand dryers. Having no disabled access toilets made taking him to the loo and for a shower/wash very difficult. That said, I know the team at Riverside have plans to improve facilities - I hope disabled access is one because we would live to come back.

Liked: Good directions, easy to find site. Stunning river side location, with Red Kite birds of pray flying above. Ther is also a good number of phesants roaming the site.
Lovely walks in the area, with just the best mountain views.
The site was the cleanest we have ever stayed in. 50p for the showers which had lovely hot water. seperate area away from the motorhomes & tents for your rubbish which is recycled as much as possible, carboard, plastic, glass etc.
The hosts were happy, smiling and welcoming.
Our motorhome pitch was a newly stoned area next to a grass patch perfect to set up our awning.
We met a resident on the site so lovely to chat too about the area, walks in the area. so friendly and helpful.
On the drive to the site views of the Mendip hills/mountains were breath taking.we loved this site and will visit again

Disliked: Nothing to dislike just perfect

Liked: Riverside location. Flat pitches and lovely views. Clean shower block, however 50p to have a shower for 5 mins.
The village pub/restaurant is closed but hoping to re-open in 2023.
To access the riverside walks with dogs you have to walk back into the village and go through a gate by the river bridge. Lovely walk from there along.
Friendly welcome.

Liked: Had a brilliant stay at Riverside! It's a beautiful setting for a peaceful escape, which was exactly what I wanted.
Lovely owner James greeted me, showed me to my pitch, and explained where everything was. The whole site is flat and level, well laid out with plenty of open space. My pitch had a large gravel area to park my campervan on, and spacious grass for my awning and for sitting out. Shower/toilet block is immaculate and cleaned frequently. Dishwashing sinks have plenty of hot water. Good recycling and grey water facilities.
Enjoyed watching the pheasants and red kites from my pitch, and even spotted a kingfisher by the river. The scenery is absolutely wonderful.
There's a small shop and Post Office in Llangammarch Wells village a few minutes stroll away - I found it great for getting a newspaper and basic supplies without moving the van (check opening times). Also stocked up at the marvellous convenience stores at Llanwrtyd Wells.
I've already re-booked for a longer stay to explore the area in the spring - can't wait to return to Riverside. Thank you very much James, Danielle, and family!
