Beautifully tranquil site with fabulously friendly wardens in an unspoilt part of carmarthenshire.

Good access to the site, friendly staff as usual. Site on two levels. Good sized grass pitches for caravans and hard standing for motorhomes. Staff have lots of local knowledge and maps for good (dog) walks in the surrounding areas. No toilet/ shower block here. Immediately next door to a National Trust run gold mine.

We cant speak highly enough of this absolute gem of a campsite. We spent our honeymoon here in June 2018 and had the most amazing time. We walked and paddled in streams and enjoyed the sheer beauty of this campsite , the gold mine opposite is fantastic and the guides so very knowledgeable a really great day out right near the site. We had breakfast with wild kites soaring above our heads and views of the beautiful scenery. We went out for days out to National trust properties and other really lovely places all thanks to our great wardens Paul and Pauline who were the most lovely, kind people . The campsite itself was immaculate and the water, refuse and sanitary emptying areas just so clean and tidy everything was checked at least three times a day. I have read that people think its not a great site for children well if I was a child on holiday on this site I would have been thrilled streams to play in hills to climb and plenty of space to have adventures. If you are the type of camper that loves being outdoors , loves the peace of the countryside and by that I dont mean silence I mean the peace of the sounds from the countryside like haying, dairy cows etc then like me and my husband you will find this to be the most amazing truly magical place. Thank you Paul and Pauline for a truly wonderful honeymoon and for helping us create memories we will never forget. I wish we were there right now roll on our first wedding anniversary were coming back. If we could award you with an enormous gold award from the mines then this campsite and its wardens truly deserves it. Jo Belcher and Christian Belcher

Campsite is great, take plenty of provisions as no shop and you cant eat at the gold mine unless you have bought entry. If you want to use the mine cafe multiple times visit the mine early on in your stay as you'll need your ticket to get back to the cafe.
Cigarette buts left on camping pitch yuck!
Site owners very helpful and helpful.

If you want peace and quiet then this is the place. Hardstanding pitches are an excellent size with electric post nearby. The pitches on the grass are also excellent sizes with the possibility of putting your caravan sideways on the pitch. There are recycling bins available and plenty of opportunity to watch the birds, including red kites.
