The Ridings Caravan Park

Liked: Ourselves and a couple of friends stayed for 2 nights, we were in a tent, our friends their caravan. The site is mainly taken by seasonal guests, all of which were LOVELY, so welcoming and friendly. There’s a nice play area for the kids, chickens (we also got fresh eggs for breakfast) and Pygmy goats. All the kids played brilliantly together and there was a lovely quiet and relaxing atmosphere. The amenities are pristine, lovely modern toilets and a beautiful shower room. Brian and Sharon, the owners are both great, really welcoming and friendly. The site is only about 30 minutes from Prestatyn, plenty to do there with the kids, had a lovely meal on the beach front. We then went over to Talacre beach which in our opinion, was much nicer, quieter and dogs were allowed on the full beach rather than selected parts of Prestatyn. Over all it was a great weekend and we will definitely be back.

Liked: Nice and quiet from 10pm. Really lovely spot, local amenities within 10 mins. Spotless kitchen and bathroom area. Clear signs for where to pitch and friendly owner. Play area was decent, some chickens and goats to say hello to. Plenty of recycling bins too.

Disliked: Only one(large) shower room. Wasn't much of an issue as its a small site but could be of busy. Dogs allowed to wander freely (perhaps this is more down to the owners).

Liked: The shower and toilet block was fantastic- lovely warm showers and kept immaculately clean. Nice touch to have fresh eggs available to buy from the farm.
The owner is very helpful and attentive.
So calm and peaceful. Had a fantastic stay- will stay again.

Disliked: Nothing

Liked: Lovely small site perfect for young children. The playground and the animals were a total bonus and my 5 and 2 year olds loved going to see them every day. Lovely open area for football and games too.
Toilet block was absolutely gorgeous, so clean, modern and fantastic design with large family shower rooms.
Great location only 20 minutes from the coastline with Talacre, Rhyl, Prestayn etc...also only 5/10 mins away from Holywell for shops/food supplies.

Would definitely stay again!

Disliked: The only negative but this isnt the sites fault, at times there was quite a strong smell towards the end of the fields (I believe due to a nearby chicken factory!) however this wasnt were the pitches were so was manageable to avoid.

Liked: Spacious pitches, superbly clean and modern facilities, lots of open but safe space for the kids to play including a play area. The owners are very friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Even the other campers were so friendly and it was a lovely community spirit from the moment we arrived. Special thanks to Jackie for lending us the heater.

Disliked: Nothing that we disliked.

Liked: Very friendly staff. Plenty of space around the pitch and further down the field for the children to play. Good location to drive to many different places. Seeing the chickens and goats. The play area was good too.

Disliked: Nothing

Liked: Everything! Small but very inclusive friendly welcoming site, brilliant facilities, decent play area (currently being upgraded and possibly moved) and and benefits of a smallholding with chickens and goats. Incredibly safe feeling to it, loved waking to the sounds of horses. Nice view down the valley even with a few power lines. A little difficult to find qt first but I blame my map / instructions reading skills there!

Disliked: Nothing. Want to stay again ASAP

Liked: Owner was lovely, greeted us when we arrived and showed us the facilities, great showers and toilets, peaceful surroundings, safe for kids, nice play area.

Disliked: Very minor point but bigger bench is shower rooms would be nice.
