Great location.
Stayed in a pod with a kettle, pull out bed converted from a table- it can be used as a table in the day -heating and a microwave.
Not too busy as midweek ,so it was nice and quiet.
Stream nearby and a big field to play in.
40 min walk to llangollen along the canal.
We usually eat at the Bistro- it's really good.

We spent 3 nights here as a group. We rented Mega Pods.

The site was great a beautiful abbey, a stream with wooded areas to explore and enough space on site for the kids to stretch their legs but be safe. We didn't use the cafe but did use the vending machines which the kids absolutely lived. Making their own weird milk flavours was a highlight of their trip.

The facilities in terns of toilets were plentiful, there was never a queue and we went in August. Cleanliness varied, but the site team were there each day doing their best to empty bins and clean floors.

The Mega Pod.
This was as shown on the website, essentially a shed with a fridge and a light. These are marketed as suitable for 4-5 adults, we found it a squeeze with 2 adults and two teenagers. Our friends who had 2 adults and 1 teenager found it roomy. If I were to revisit, I'd opt for the luxury pod with beds and a bathroom, or a glamping tent with beds. The glamping tents had a grassy area whilst pods were on a gravel surface. Our friends took a small dog and he would have preferred a grass area - but it wasn't a big deal.

The area around the site was beautiful and we really enjoyed exploring this part of Wales.

We (3 adults) stayed in an unfurnished pod. Good location on cycle route. Great value if you have your own kit with you.

Used the Bistro a couple of times here over the last week... Great service by warm friendly staff. Cake and drinks are brilliant value for money and very tasty. 😊
