Liked: The location - very peaceful, lovely countryside and a river nearby. The site is well cared for, pitches a good size, very reasonably priced for fully serviced. The showers and toilets were clean and the showers were free ( found many other sites charge for them now). Lovely place, wish we'd stayed longer. Friendly owner, easy check in.

Liked: This was an immaculate site with clean and modern facilities. Mike, Anne and grandson Harry (5yrs), were very friendly and helpful. Harry was a mine of information about lawnmowers and enjoyed chatting and helping grandad with the upkeep of the site. We enjoyed popping into the bar and sampling some of the 70+ amazing whiskies that Mike had (not all at once though!). The site is bordered by a lovely Brook and backs onto an old church. It is a tranquil site but also buzzing with activity. A good base for our excursions. We visited the town of Bluith for the lake and some great local live music, Llandridnod Wells Lake, quad biking and Red Kite feeding at Grigrin Farm. Our pitch was basked in sunshine all day, but there were shadier ones on offer (we were given the choice when we arrived). We had an amazing 10 days here and will definitely return if we visit this part of Wales again. Thanks to Mike, Anne and Harry for a wonderful stay.

Liked: what a fantastic place, within been on site just a few mins i was greeted and told/shown where the loo's showers bins and recycling and also waste water was. taken in person to our spot and given the wifi code(kids was happy). In my 5 days there i did not see any litter the grass was tidy all around, showers was lovely clean and power full good temp useful dish washing room with fridges and washing and drying machine, this is a family run site and it was so welcoming, only a few miles from town with shops takeaways lovely parks
Everyone was welcoming there was people from all over the world some just passing through to your long stayer.
Come 9pm the site fell quite and stayed that was till 8-8:30 each day

Liked: We only stopped for one night and arrived later in the day so didn’t get to experience the place too much. Seemed very peaceful though and our temporary neighbours were very polite and friendly.
Disliked: It gets quite shaded quite soon, we did plan on sitting out for the remainder of the evening before sunset but there weren’t any sunny patches. We also had no idea where taps, chemical disposal etc were.

Liked: A very friendly welcome from the owners. The Shepherds Hut was lovely. An added bonus for camping of Fridge, Microwave and kettle. It also had a little fire heater but thankfully we had good weather so it wasn't needed. It also had an attached covered decking area which meant we could cook and eat outside regardless of the weather. It came with a key to our own private bathroom with shower, toilet and basin which we loved. Our little dog loved the walks along the stream and sitting on the decking with us.
Disliked: If like us you enjoy camping or using pods and sitting outside of an evening with a glass of something chatting under the stars this is not the site for you. It has static caravans and mainly seems more suited to mobile homes or tourers as everything shuts down at 9 p.m. this is great if that's what you want but we felt awkward to sit outside, conscious of whispering to each other but this is just a personal view.

Liked: Clean showers and toilets nice a close to walk to. Lovely footpath from Campsite to walk the dogs. Owners were lovely, friendly, helpful and we stayed 2 extra nights than we had booked which was not a problem at all. Short grass cut pitches, very clean site!

Really nice site, beautiful location and seems popular. Only slight irritation is the lights in the toilets- they are on a timer and go off after 10 seconds. You have to wee while waving your hands around to keep the light on:-) spotless showers and site well maintained- would visit again.

Liked: Lovely, quiet site. The sound of the stream in the background was relaxing. Such a pretty site.
Disliked: The shower and toilet blocks, although tidy could do with a little updating. And the sensor timer in the toilets could do with being made longer as the light went out after 5-10 seconds and it was pitch black!
