Hay-on-Wye Caravan Park

Great site , excellent owners ( Alvin and Denise) - go out of their way to help. Great views - 20 minute walk into Hay centre , with shops , pubs and restaurants. Not many 'rules' - the owners clearly take pride in the grass between the pitches - so if you're having a BBQ , make sure you locate it on part of your gravel pitch , not the grass ( common sense really) . The showers are fine - but cost 60p ( 3 x 20p) for 5 minutes ; if you don't have enough change , more is available at reception. Recommended.

A most delightful site, well maintained. Very clean facilities & super friendly owners. Best site we've been to & we just keep on returning. Easy access to the great Hay on Wye shops.

About 1-2 miles walk / 30-45 mins walk into Hay Town centre.

We are regular visitors to Ashbrook and it would be difficult to find any other kept to a better standard
Everything is immaculate and perfectly set out Lawns , toilet block ,wash up area a real credit to the excellent owners who could not be more helpful and welcoming

Over the last 9 years I have traveled in my motorhome widely in the UK and Europe and have very rarely stayed at a camp site as Ashbrook managed in such friendly and efficient manner to such high standards as by Alvin and Denice Powell. It has excellently equipped facilities, grounds and electric and water supplied hard pitches in a spacious layout - all kept in immaculate condition. It is situated in an outstandingly scenic location with excellent road access and within short walking distance to the Hay Festival Site. This year was my first stay - the first of many, I hope. Thoroughly recommended.

Great place to camp, the owners are extremely friendly and helpful. The facilities are clean and the location is beautiful. Will be coming here again. Alvin and Denice are very welcoming.

Had a wonderful weekend camping at Ashbrook. The site is well kept with plenty of space between pitches. Had everything for us campers, washing up room, fridge, freezer etc. Toilet facilities were exceptionally clean best we've seen on any site we've stayed at. This site is disabled friendly and the shower and toilet was immaculate which was an added bonus for me. We will definately be back next year.

My husband and I have travelled to 100s of sites in the UK and Europe over the years and we can safely say that Ashbrook is right up there at the top of our favourite places to stay.

Alvin and Denice obviously care about their site and it shows as it is brilliantly laid out and in fantastic order - the showers and toilets are so so clean and spacious. I never mind paying for a shower when they are that good and you don't have to keep pressing a button.

Every site has rules and we liked how they were presented and it meant that people followed a code of respect to keep the site nice. The couple are super friendly and we even got a lift into town one evening when we dressed up for dinner - thanks Alvin, as I had seemingly made my hubby walk too much already that day!

We will be back and next time for a little longer to take in more of the sites and natural beauty!!!
