Arrived on a Friday afternoon the nice lady came out and showed us our spot paid our money and the only other time we seen her was to show 2 motorhomes there places! There are around 20 static caravans on site and room for about 10 tourers. The touring area in not quite flat and only grass no hard standing, the electric is about 6 maybe 10 amp, the outside washing facility was very poor and clutter everywhere, the toilets are desperately in need a good cleaning and updating as the bin was full for the 3 days we was there and toilet roll in one toilet had not been refilled at all for the duration of time we was there. The showers took money £1 coins i think but we used our own toilets and showers as the site one was to a good standard for us, the pictures I have put on look better than it actually was, this site has so much potential of being a great place but I think that all they are concerned about is money money money with no interest in the up keeping and investment of the site which is a shame, the only good thing is it is a 5 minute walk into the town centre the price we paid at the time was £20 pr night

Gets four stars for providing a shelter with seats for backpackers, owner, friendly and helpful, but although convenient for Monmouth, that meant high traffic noise, and the facilities are a bit run down

This was our first time here and we will definitely be back.

Lovely quiet campsite sitting right on the edge of Monmouth town. It’s also a great location for walking & cycling, or just chilling out by the river.

Very friendly owners, who leave you alone to enjoy your stay.

Shower & toilets keep very clean.

Thank you Monnow Bridge Caravan Park for a lovely stay, hopefully we will see you soon.

Cycle touring through and decided to give this place a try as the other site that "allows" tents down the road (Glen trothy), well its shower block was a real unclean ghetto 3 years ago.
This place is great value for money. It's much like your camping farms, which keeps the more "classy" types away. This place has charm and character. Like going back in time.
All the regulars were very friendly.
Toilets were very clean. Shower was nice and hot... It has gone up to £1 for 6minutes. But fortunately we had some spare tokens that we've been carrying for years from another site. So didnt have to pay.
Looking at other reviews the owners are clearly not after your money. The owners weren't decked out in gold chains and sovereign rings and driving about in Jaguars. Both of them could hardly walk without a stick. £15 for 2 one man tents is half what other campsites seem to be charging recently. There was a nice area we were allowed to cook buy reception (out of the wind) and also some benches on the other side of the wall by the river.

I'm hiking through wales and came across this campsite while walking through Monmouth. Decided to stay the night, the very friendly owners gave me a pitch right next to a shed with some benches and a rack for drying clothes as well as offering to charge my phone. Didn't charge extra for my two dogs. Very accomodating.
Price was very decent, location is great if you want to head into town for a meal but obviously gets a bit of traffic noise. Can't camp right in town and expect there to be no noise though.

Warm welcome, finding access a bit of a worry but plenty of room between two buildings to get in. EHU on hardstanding level pitch. Facilities dated, but clean, love the pine doors and toilet seats. What is special about this site is it is so close to the town. Good chippy 3 minutes walk just over the bridge. Will use site again..

Exceptionally friendly owners, we were made very welcome.
This is a small, quiet site, perfect for our needs, within a few minutes walking distance of the town and all amenities.

Nice position backing onto river, 5 min walk to town centre. Toilets & showers need updating. Current charge is £25 p/n so has increased a lot
