Tried paddle boarding for the first time and would highly recommend using Cardigan Bay Watersports. We hired two boards (my children shared a board but will prefer one each in future), buoyancy aids were provided and wet suits are available for a small additional charge.

The hire of each board was £16 and after an introduction to the board by patient and knowledgeable staff and we were on the water.

Was surprisingly easy to get into a standing position - no doubt helped by the shallow and calm sea in this part of the bay.

Would highly recommended and we'll certainly be back. Thank you.

We've been here 3 times now as a family. Once for paddle boarding and twice for kayaking. Each time we've had a different instructor/supervisor and they've all been excellent. Very friendly, nice and informative. For the quality of supervision, equipment and changing facilities it is fantastic value for money. Also the harbour at New quay is an amazing place to try these sports out as it's so calm and stunningly beautiful. Would give extra stars if possible!

Looking forward to the Saturday sailing sessions starting up again this year, really enjoyed my weekly sailing sessions with experienced instructors and well-maintained equipment. Even the dolphins appeared to watch my novice sailing!
More recently, I was lucky enough to experience ‘Trident’, the 135hp rib used for the Power Boating courses, a very well equipped and maintained rib. Attached pictures of Trident leaving Arklow, Ireland. Shots include the cockpit as ‘we’ navigated final leg of the Irish crossing in the dark and one of the dolphins welcoming us back into Cardigan Bay.

Fantastic staff, really fast at responding to emails and queries too. Dogs are allowed on the kayaks which is brilliant. They have a safety boat on the water at all times too which is reassuring with children. Definitely worth pre booking.

Really good location, although a bit tricky to find if unfamiliar with the area.
Glorious day, so perfect for Stand up paddle boarding. Fantastic spot to give it our first go. Helpful staff.
No parking, so make sure you leave plenty of time.

The guys here are very accommodating and responsive to questions / messages. Had a great time paddle boarding despite falling in a few times and enjoying the views of Cardigan Bay. Huge area to explore.
Quality equipment with full demonstration given. Recommend highly.

Great fun! We hired kayaks and after a brief but comprehensive safety chat we were off. The wind picked up a bit but the staff were alert and came out on a motor boat to check we were ok.

Would book in advance to access the craft you would like. Absolutely smashing team and friendly service. Would highly recommend the stand up paddle boarding as the bay is relatively calm (weather dependant).
