I often visit for the butty shack club. £3.50 for a triple decker club sandwich with doorstop bread and fresh chicken, bacon, cheese and salad. Served hot toasted and great value. Definitely enough to share between 2 if it's a light lunch your after. Family run with nice warm staff. Every thing is made fresh so there can be a little wait but it's worth it.

I've used the Butty Shack a few times and quality of food is first class. My nephew loves the square sausage baton, well filled with three square sausage on it. My favourite is the bacon barm which is loaded with good quality bacon. then the extras we get are black pudding, potato cake, hash browns all our favourites but there's a lot more, in fact it's got an extensive menu it's hard to choose. I wouldn't go anywhere else. The home delivery is a bonus.

Never again, atfer the driver dumpers my food on the doorstep and watched me struggling to pick it up with my bad back, I was shocked at the fact the staff did not know the menu advertised and had sent the wrong dip with my chicken, topping this was the charcoal black burnt muffin that the grease oozing also cremated breakfast stack was plonked in!
I rang to raise my issues to be greeted by an lady whos customer service skills showed why the food standards were below par, told me it's just eats issue and either she or I would get my refund at the end of the week that how it was!!
Honestly how the have been in business long is beyond me.
Money is better spent elsewhere

Food quality alone would be a 4 star. But it says it's open till 2pm but if you go in after half 12 they hide away from you until they gain the courage to tell you they're closed.
At a time I was visiting reasonably regularly at lunch (1ish) with a couple of colleagues and we left feeling as if we'd caused offence due to the attitude of the lady serving us. After doing this multiple times (the food is good) she asked why we always come so late, something we still don't understand as it states open till 2pm. Why don't you just close at 1pm and then you won't have customers wasting their time and you can go home earlier? It is annoying when you've got a limited time to eat in and you now have to make other plans, I just go to Lords Deli or a bakery they'll sort you no problem.

Waited 2 hours for our order.
Then the eggs weren’t runny like we had asked
The ‘toast’ was like bread.
All we got when delivery was made, “soz we’ve been manic this morning”.
Tried to ring their number and the number isn’t even available anymore! Shambles of a place.

Im Gobsmacked that this place is still open. The lady owner is possibly the rudest person i have ever met. Whilst in the shop i had to listen to the owner speak to her staff members as if they were something she had scraped off her shoe. Absolutely shocking and in severe need of attending anger management classes along with a customer service course. Avoid unless you enjoy being served by a female victor meldrew.
